Hello all - I’m waiting for my 1996 pocket purse to arrive, and in the meantime want to get what I’ll need to rehab her. I'm stuck on what to use for post-dunk conditioning? I’ve previously used Blackrocks leather n rich and been happy with it on other bag brands, but here many mention Apple Garde. Or other products? Is there a consensus what works best on vintage Coach leather?

Sorry...can’t read through all 1100 pages of this forum to find out - LOL!
No, I wouldn't use Apple on a rehab. Blackrocks is great, and most of us use it as the final step, but you need a good moisturizer first. I also use Leather CPR. It's available lots of places, including Bed Bath and Beyond, but is cheaper at Marshalls or Tuesday Morning if they have it.

Has anyone ever used Obenauf;s oil on the edges and inside of a reverse suede (think Berkeley) bag? I just bought a super dry pre Creed suede bag and it needs some serious moisture after its bath. I have already done the edges and inside of the flap with leather cpr and while it seems much better already from that I'm wondering if it doesn't need a longer, more heavy duty treatment. I also wondered if I oil the inside of the bag would it possibly seep through and show on the suede as oil stain? I'm thinking not as if it did that, that would mean when you oil the outside of a regular bag it would show up on the inside, which it doesn't IME. I rubbed the cpr on with my fingertips and managed easily not to get it on the suede so I would do the same with the oil.
I can't answer this directly, but this made me remember my first rehab with O Oil. I was applying it to a convertible clutch and just totally over-applied it with the dauber in the cap. What a runny mess! The clutch has a seam at the bottom corners. I put so much on, (lol, it was comical, I was laughing as I realized I overdid it) it seeped through seams to the inside! I remember it staining it, but that was a direct app per se. I will take a critical look at the interior tonight (finishing a late lunch now) or tomorrow. Personally, I would not expect O Oil to seep through from the tanned side to the suede side. But I haven't been doing this that long so I would love to hear more experienced opinions.
I will also look at an Open Market Tote I gave two generous apps of O Oil and see if it may have changed the interior suede.

The suede on the back and bottom are worn down a lot and the back has some deep scratches too. Also the strap is coming away from the bag, not sure how to describe it or what to do about it. I will likely just leave it as is. I love the color it's very unusual. I did end up carefully applying obenaufs to the non suede bits.

It looks FABULOUS!

Good evening everyone, I'm wondering if I could get some opinions on this bag I'm interested in. In one photo it looks like there is a small round spot on the front of the bag that is a little lighter than the surrounding leather. I circled it in this photo. View attachment 4063126
But when looking at other pictures in the listing that show the front of the bag I don't see that same light spot.

I've asked the seller but haven't heard back.

Any opinions? My eyes aren't what they used to be so I'm not sure if I'm seeing things correctly. Thanks!
Here's the listing:

If you can stand one more opinion, it appears to me that there could be almost an arc like scratch? indent? on the right side of the bag as we are viewing it in pic 5 . It’s as those several spots are there, but photo graph differently with the subtle angle/changes of the bag/camera from shot to shot. Jmo.

I just ordered the organizer today; after carrying the Ace yesterday I realized that I'd like an organizer in it. I'll post a pic of what the Ace looks like with and without an organizer after it arrives if it would be helpful. It will probably take about a month though; my Samorga orders generally take about 3 weeks but it says on the site that they're really busy right now and it's taking them a couple of weeks to complete orders.
Hi, Pagan! I'm not sure if you posted already but have you received your Samorga insert for the Ace yet? I'm curious how it worked out and looks. TIA!

I responded in your other thread. If you can find the right replacement, it looks like you can just push it right in since the inside part is still there. Maybe add a little super glue.

Blackrock should work nicely on this bag.
I found a black Ace on eBay and it looked a little dull and in need of moisture. It had minor wear for scratches. i used Leather CPR and then a coat of Black Rocks. My first time using it and boy, it shined it right up and looks much healthier! I let it sit overnight before buffing with a soft cloth. Amazing stuff!

Yes, I did! I’m away for the weekend, but will try to post pics next week. It fit very well, but it’s a rectangular shape. The bag narrows from a wider base, so it doesn’t completely fill the depth of the bottom. It’s much better, though.
