It's this purse, Poppy Sapphire Spotlight. I hated the cheap strap that came with it and chopped it off. Even though it is a Poppy, the leather is absolutely gorgeous.
Does anyone know how to clean this iridescent coating?! I have the white v of this bag and took it in to coach (when they offered that); they said they wouldn't take it bc of the coating. So now I'm stuck w a gray- white dirty iridescent bag
Probably black-clothes trf I'm presuming, since I don't run around in the mud

Are you sure it is the same? This one has held up perfectly. It is smooth and soft, and doesn't show a bit of wear. I have a Poppy made of sparkle suede that stains if you look at it funny. I sprayed it with Shining Monkey fabric protector, that apparently they don't make anymore, and surprisingly some of the stains disappeared. I think it has helped keep it clean.

My handles came through fine. They were very dark from lots of use and I put Dawn directly onto them and pre-soaked for five minutes and then used a dishrag to lightly scrub them after soaking for a bit. Didn’t seem to lift the dark much but I feel like they’re cleaner, fwiw.
Does it matter what kind of Dawn? How long do you soak? Thx!

For those cleaning suede, do you use different products? I've read to just brush. TY!!!

The bag I'm trying to clean is a white iridescent poppy. Actually, identical material presumably, to this new pic you posted. Help!!! It's already dirty :(

The bags looks fabulous, great job! I love Leather CPR as a good, general moisturizer, but if the bag is rather dry and scuffed then I find that an application of Leather Therapy Restorer and Conditioner can also be helpful. It does have a smell, but it fades with time and it is not unpleasant IMO.

And if the bag is scuffed, scratched, faded, or the color is uneven or spotted, then Black Rocks can do miracles! But you have to apply it sparingly, wipe of the excess, let it absorb, and then buff it until it shines. I use a clean, soft, horsehair shoe brush to buff my bags.

@dgphoto your brown Willis looks a million times better but if you want to improve it even more you could apply Black Rocks and then buff it to even out the color and hide more of the flaws. I would also apply a little dark brown acrylic paint or edgecoat along the edges of the strap to replace the missing edging.

Just a couple of suggestions, but overall a great job - you have given those bags a new life, congratulations!
Wow! What temp does the water need to be, for how long? Thx!

I probably wouldn't suggest washing anything other than vintage Coach. Other brands often use glue that leaks out and stains if washed, and the bag may not hold up. I would clean the exterior with vinegar. If the lining pulls out, you can wash that with either a mild spray cleaner (no bleach) or soap and water, but you'll need to rinse thoroughly if you use soap, taking care to keep the leather from getting too wet. If it just gets splattered, usually you can wipe it dry before it soaks in. I would use my normal conditioners on the leather - Leather CPR and Blackrocks. On the pebbled leather, I've been able to use fabric puff paint to cover spots, mimicking the texture of the leather.
Thx so much! Will try-

I usually soak for 15 to 20 minutes. Sometimes I forget and an hour or so passes. It doesn't seem to hurt the bag. I usually use warm water, something is comfortable for me. I don't know if the temperature makes that much difference, except that too hot may set in stains before they wash out and too cold might make it difficult for the soap to dissolve.
