Micheals was a big disappointment. I tried to find a star or moon stud/rivet but they had nothing that match the hardware of my star rivets crossbody clutch. [emoji852]️

I have not. I will call them. I called my boutique and they said they could just order the bag for me. I kind of don't want this one to die a horrible death which is what they do to Coach damaged bags. [emoji852]️Would Coach possibly send you a replacement rivet for that? Idk if you have contacted them or not?

Beautiful!I rehabbed my NYC Dinky. When I found it, it was greenish-grey with uneven color and some scratches, especially on the back (unfortunately I don't have any before pics). It wan't until I bathed & conditioned it (with Coach, which I now know isn't the best stuff, but it's what I had) that I realized it was supposed to be black. Then one day I set it down on a table, walked into the other room, and when I came back I noticed some scratches on the front. The little monster in my avatar did it. At first I was so mad I almost sold it, but then I saw a post about Black Rock and decided to try it. That stuff is amazing, it evened out the color even more than the moisturizer did, and the scratches on the front are almost gone, but the larger one on the back is still there. It looks so much better, and the parts that were the lightest are almost as dark as the blackest parts now (like the tag).

Yes, co-sign, BR is amazing. I bought my BT City bag with dryness, stains and some very deep scratches on the front. I was going for a rehabbed distressed look and I was willing to take the chips as they fall with the rehab. After full conditioning with Blackrock as the final step, you can’t even see the scratches.I rehabbed my NYC Dinky. View attachment 4028462 View attachment 4028463[/QUOTE is the most recent coach cleaner not good? I ordered one on clearance, but the ingredients aren't that specific on the bottle.
I also ordered BR (I THINK!). I'm confused- so some of you condition rather than or as cleaning? TY! Pls point me in the right direction, post wise, if there's a better place for me to ask. TY!!!
I probably wouldn't suggest washing anything other than vintage Coach. Other brands often use glue that leaks out and stains if washed, and the bag may not hold up. I would clean the exterior with vinegar. If the lining pulls out, you can wash that with either a mild spray cleaner (no bleach) or soap and water, but you'll need to rinse thoroughly if you use soap, taking care to keep the leather from getting too wet. If it just gets splattered, usually you can wipe it dry before it soaks in. I would use my normal conditioners on the leather - Leather CPR and Blackrocks. On the pebbled leather, I've been able to use fabric puff paint to cover spots, mimicking the texture of the leather. So guess what everyone, I finally got my first rehab project!!! Happened by a thrift store next to wk today, and ended up w a gorgeous JC leather open tote/satchel. It's REALLY dirty & has really visible scuffs all over it. Some scratches.
Is there some kind of beginner-tutorial anytime could suggest?
Which leads me to my next Q:

So I sent my husband in to order the replacement and my SA thinks it can be repaired so she is sending it to Coach repairs and it will a 6-8 weeks long wait to put one rivet in.I have not.
