Happy Friday, everyone!

Could you please guide me to suede rehab posts? I remember for sure someone very brave tackled remarkably dirty suede bag, but it would probably take me days of sifting through years of posts, and I don't find search feature here particularly useful...

Any help and/or tips will be greatly appreciated!
I bought this grimy teal bag with anniversary lining and posted on it around September. If you do a search of my user name in this thread for September, October you will see it. Definitely a * what was I thinking moment*. I did some half hearted spot cleaning. On some advice here, get ready for this: I put it in an old pillowcase and tied it off with a hair band and put it on the delicate cycle , warm water with 1/2 tablespoon of baby shampoo. It was recommended to be done twice. For whatever reason, I only did it once. I have to say, the bag was none the worse and alot of grime was lifted off after doing this.
I wished I had dunked it first in warm water, giving it a light precleaning toothbrush scrub, then put in the washer. I may still do that, again.
At any rate, enough grime lifted off that I enjoy the bag. Lol , I will pretty much dunk anything first and ask later, but I do remember hyperventilating for the first 10 minutes of the cycle saying I can't believe I am doing this!
Obviously this is for a more serious intervention needed than described above. My bag was unusable to me as it was.

So do you folks have a particular bag that is a favorite style to rehab?

I've done 3 british tan city bags and I absolutely LOVE them. This is the latest one that I worked on before:

and after:

They just clean up so nice! (edited b/c I'm still clueless about uploading pics on this site)

I don't think I have a particular style. I have bought bags I wanted to have so I could use that style. I bought a BT City bag, with stains and scratches just so it could have an interesting patina. It is one of my favs:heart: I am working on my photo skills.20170513_162932.jpg

it’s not like it will burst into flames and burn my house down if I try to clean it
That's the rehab spirit!! Coming from a woman who put a suede bag through a washer.
Since appliqués are in style, I could always stick something over the stain
Macguyver inspired technics are respected and encouraged here .

A weekend with not a lot planned means rehabs!!!!! I have my camel bleeker in the bath and it was dirtier than I thought! The bath water was so dingy. It's rinsing now. I am also trying to rehab a cute suede wristlet I found. Someone at goodwill put a sticker price tag on it and you can see the outline of the tag. BOO! :( Who puts a sticker on suede????

I am rehabbing 2 this weekend. So far they've had their bath and are looking lovely. But I wonder what there is to do about this old girl's monogram? Is that a service Coach used to offer? It's in a discreet place, under the flap. I thought it seemed like it was going away when she was waterlogged but it's definitely still there. I imagine it's permanent. Oh well, just a part of the bags history. Also the flap on this bag is quite faded. I hope the color will come back with some obenauf's because other than that it's really in fabulous condition. Also, what do you guys do about black marks on the strap from the buckle? I couldn't get them off with a little scrub with dawn:

This is the other, a saddlery bag, easy rehab before:

Both will clean up nicely! I had luck with a dry Mr. Clean magic eraser with the black marks on my white anniversary Willis.

I posted about my technique of using straight vinegar and a toothbrush on the black marks on the strap of my light tan NYC Classic Pouch (aka Classic Shoulder Bag) here:
Coach Rehab and Rescue Club

Love that style...yours looks beautiful!

ETA: Pic showing strap ends. Marks were quite a bit darker before vinegar treatment.

Good idea about the vinegar. I did pour a little over it during the bath and I do think it may have lightened the marks some, but they're still there. Still, not sure I care all that much.
