Thanks, Whateve! So Bleecker is just the name then, and it has nothing to do with the kind of leather the bag is made of, or the way it should be treated? When searching for the answers to my questions, I came across an old discussion here on tPF about treatment of different Bleeckers, and there was also reference to burnished leather some of them were made of... all this just worsened my confusion...
Yes, Bleecker is just a line of bags. Just like the Italian Madisons have no relation to the current Madisons, and 2006 Legacy has no relation to 2013 Legacy.

She looks beautiful! You'll want to use very fine grit sandpaper or steel wool. I've never been able to completely get rid of the shiny spots.
Thanks! I'll try steelwool first, I just bought some for a cabinet project. This bag is awesome it's really comfy cross body too. This really makes me want to get more vintage bags to work on.

Lovely! They do hold a lot don't they?

I read somewhere that pumice can be used also.

I covered the white spots on my burgundy nubuc with dye. Not perfect but better and less noticeable. You'd probably have to mix colours to get the right shade and test on an inconspicuous spot first.

Good evening everyone!! Rehab #3, zip top shopper is finally finished. Between shoveling through most of the last month, looooong work hours and a nasty virus, I didn't think I'd ever get it done.

Does any one have any suggestions on storing bags? I'm using white pillow cases as covers, but I'm unsure if I should put something inside to prevent slouching.

What an improvement! Re: storing, I've used crumpled kraft paper. I would hesitate using newspaper because of the ink.

You've got almost new looking bag now! Great job!

I was so confused! Glad I asked. Thanks again, Whateve, and sorry for the offtop.

Coach seems to relish confusing everyone. They are extremely consistent with their inconsistencies!

LOL, Two.time.bags! Well said.

gorgeous! I stuff my bags with crumpled paper. I save the stuffing from when I buy bags and use it in the bags that are more structured. Some of these I also store hanging to keep them from slouching.

Stunning. What a great job.

Re stuffing: bubble wrap is good. Paper is a potential food source and can attract silverfish and moths.

Thank you!!

I was wondering about bubble wrap and those plastic "pillows" that also used as packing. I didn't think putting plastic in would be good for the bag. Being breathable, I thought paper may be the way to go.....but not if it attracts visitors

Oh, at work today we saw a 15 week old white poodle pup named Cupid. He was very fluffy and very brave for his vaccine.

I use bubble wrap and plastic pillows sometimes too. I've heard you have to careful with any that have printing on the outside because the color can come off. I think a lot depends on how long you are going to be storing it. I haven't found any critters in mine, but I'm sure it depends on where you live.

standard, miniature, or toy poodle? I wish they all had puppy cuts.
