Thanks everyone! I've been busy this weekend wrapping up a bunch of these rehabs.

A question: Would you say that this Handle Portfolio is Mocha or Burgundy? Based on the interior I am leaning towards Mocha but there is definitely a reddish tinge to the exterior leather. Thanks to Houseof999 for pulling her comment link to this bag after I bid on it. It's huge and lovely!

Ladies, I am so sad. I bought this bag and when it arrived I realized it was so, so extremely dry-crispy dry-that the darker trim has cracked all over. Is there any help for it?

I’m beginning to think I have have to call in a professional to replace those parts or just scrap it, as sad as that makes me.

That's pretty bad. I think it is beyond saving. I have had that happen to me also. Can you return it?

How would you repair/disguise these extra holes in the strap? (Didn't see them till after I received bag from seller) I'm having trouble searching the "repair thread archives" on my phone. I'm guessing this may have been discussed before - please direct me to a post if that's easier. Thank you!

I once rehabbed a red city bag that had one extra hole in the strap. It was barely visible in one of the ebay pictures but much more obvious IRL. I decided to keep the bag, but I contacted the seller and she gave me a partial refund. I don't know how much you paid for it, but perhaps you should try to get some money back?

I didn't try to repair the hole, but I did use a little bit of matching red acrylic paint to help camouflage the raw leather and make the hole less noticeable.

I repaired my Willis strap by punching another hole above the last factory hole with the correct sized leather punch, then used the little leather plug from there to fill in the home made one. I used the punch to correct the homemade one so that the plug fit exactly, and secured it with leather glue. As you can see in the photo, it was in a super weird spot, off center and barely above a factory hole. FullSizeRender.jpg You can barely see the repair in real life-I took this photo under two Ott lights. My leather punch is open behind the cutter tube thingies, so it was easy to just push the leather plug out with a toothpick.
Hope this helps!
