How would you repair/disguise these extra holes in the strap? (Didn't see them till after I received bag from seller) I'm having trouble searching the "repair thread archives" on my phone. I'm guessing this may have been discussed before - please direct me to a post if that's easier. Thank you!

I've filled them with various things - I think once I used silicone. Best would be little disks of leather. After it is completely filled in, you can use leather cement, puff paint, acrylic paint and/or leather refinisher to cover. I don't think I ever got a completely smooth finish.

You can claim not as described for not disclosing that.

Thanks Whateve - do you just shove the little bits of leather down in there with some Fabric Fusion? I'll experiment a bit and post back if I get a good result (or I'll post and be the cautionary tale if I get a bad one!)
Looking back now at sellers' pictures - the extra holes were there. I just didn't realize what I was seeing till I received the bag. It was my bad. Was so excited to find another red Willis after the eBay mess I had with that other one last week, I didn't "study" as hard as I should have.

Here is my finished nubuc Sonoma, kindly authenticated by whateve.

She has been washed in the tub with baby shampoo, thrown in the washer with Oxy-clean spot treatment, and conditioned with Leather Honey. Once dry, I very lightly sanded with 400 grit sandpaper and used a wire suede brush - avoiding stitched areas. Finally, she was sprayed with Collonil Bamboo for sheen.

You can see in the photos where I tried to repair a tear at the base of the strap where it meets the bag, and did a very poor job. The brass was warped beneath and a sharp bit had created a hole in the leather. Using needle-nosed pliers I attempted to repair the brass but couldn't do it. I actually stretched the damage and made it look much worse. Repair was done with a scrap of leather placed into the tear, covered with leather cement, and layered over with matching acrylic. It looks bonkers so I cover it with a scarf! Luckily it's in a fairly hidden area.

Some of these holes look like you might be able to glue them together and make them much less obvious. I cannot count the amount of times I have bought bags with straps with extra holes punched in. Sometimes it's just one, way further up the strap. One time I bought a bag with a strap with holes all the way up it. Quite ridiculous. They were neatly punched so I never tried to fix it.. I just never use that strap. I didn't bother complaining about it but I am getting pickier these days.

Wonderful job. It looks so clean! The scarf adds a nice touch.

I started with the two you authenticated. The waverly hobo and the small flap bag (don't know its name). They are in the bath.
Waverly hobo came out of the bath and is black, not navy, as it appeared in the store. It's amazing what a bath can do to bring out the original color! I shouldn't be that surprised as I have two boys who are usually a different color going into the bath from when they come out

Thanks, Belicious. I'm definitely going to try and glue them first. They look better on the bottom side of the strap than the top. And I've learned my lesson about checking that out now. : ) As you can tell, these weren't done very well. Uneven and not centered. Looks like they used an ice pick.

I'm so ridiculously happy with how my navy NYC stewardess turned out!

This is the before album So dry and scratched! And now she's plump and glowing!

Last night I dreamed that I was cleaning my black stewardess bag and it started turning British Tan. Sadly it's still black in the morning.

Second pic are the other three in progress
