So I very much enjoy watching everyone here and the amazing work they do on bags. There's just something about watch a beat up unloved bag get a new chance at life. It's kinda addicting. Anyway, I occasionally do minor rehabs with bags I find in the thrift store. Hereis my first posted rehab of a stewardess bag, found at goodwill for $17 dollars and authenticated by whateve. Thanks for letting me share!

I think it looks wonderful! You are right about it becoming addicting.

I just washed a bag and DH said the water looked gross! All of my rehabbing towels have dye stains on them now and I'm afraid to use them again.

You could wash then with some bleach? Anything that doesn't come off with some bleach shouldn't come off on your next rehab, I would think.

I was using the sink where we let our dishes dry! I guess it's a good thing my roommate didn't run me out. :p Don't worry, I washed it when I was done. Sorta anyway. My towel didn't stain at all this time. Guess I was kind of lucky in that respect.

I use my kitchen sink too! I don't really have an excuse because there is a sink in the laundry room. I just like the kitchen sink better. A bit of cleanser and it is good as new!
