It is the Purse to go organizer in large from PurseBling. It's great--I originally got it for my LV Noe which is a black hole inside but it works great in the Rambler as well as gives it a bit of structure/shape.
I wonder if it would work in my Legacy Leighs....they are a bit bigger/wider than I am used to. great idea to protect it's lining too.

I bet it would be because the organizers come in lots of different sizes, styles and colors. The owner Jerilyn is really very nice and has lots of cool goodies on her site. It's Pursebling.com-I think she had a 15% off coupon, too.

Wow! She looks great

Okay here are the afters. She came out such a pretty rich color! This style is also deceptively roomy. Thankfully she didn't smell like an "old baseball glove" as the seller had described. She also responded really well to conditioning and I love the contrasting color of the piping. Not bad for about $28 shipped!

Does anyone know what product stops dye from rubbing off a purse? That burgundy stewardess I'm rehabbing is looking great except it's still shedding color when I rub it, even with my bare hands. I wonder if I spray it with apple rain repellent if it'll put a layer around the leather. If it keeps rain out, it should keep dye in?! Any thoughts rehabbers?? Product suggestions? I looked it up and I guess I need a sealant(?) but I have no clue what that is..... Or where to buy it....

Hi you need a sealant, I use resolene from fiebing.com. I posted about how it rained out after I dyed my cashin and she was fine. Hope that helps!

my question about sealant would be ... do you have to do all the rehabbing possible on your bag before you seal it, because once sealed, you can't do more to the leather? I'm not sure of the answer to this, so definitely talk to a leather professional before sealing it!!

Jessie319- sealant seals the color so that it won't run sort if like a top coat, it can be removed by bathing a bag and ultimately the best way would be to strip the bag. I have dyed and sealed my cashin and talked to a leather expert about making it darker (possibly black) bc of the damage, so yes you should have all the repairs done before sealing but if not you can reverse it.

Is the bag still new and clean or has it already been soiled? I use Coach jacquard fabric cleaner that I bought at the Coach boutique store to spot-clean fabric bags, or you can try gently sponging with a damp cloth and mild soap. I have also heard of using non-alcohol baby wipes but I haven't tried that myself.

If the bag is new (or after you clean it) you might want to try and spray it with a protective spray to protect it from soil and damage in the future. Apple Rain Garde is a recommended product. You need to spray it in a well-ventilated area (and wear rubber gloves because it can melt your nail polish!) I do 2 applications and let it dry for a few hours or overnight in between.

It is always wise to first spot-test a new product by applying it in a small, obscure area and letting it dry completely before spraying it all over your bag. Good luck!

Thank you so much!

Awesome! Thanks so much! They sell it on amazon which makes it super simple for me to buy. I'm almost done with my burgundy stewardess rehab, can't wait to take pictures to show everyone :)

New project question! I just got a nice Coach Madison Italy line satchel #4410, but the lining is dirty and id like to wash it via the usual Woolite and water. I know people have bathed lined bags to decent results but has anyone done the Italian leathers as well as a satchel? I'm afraid the shape will be ruined or the Italian leather won't respond well to the water. Thanks so much ladies! This is so much fun, I can't get enough of rehabs :) :)

Katev I read your previous posts for the caviar Italian Madisons! Would it be complete sacrilege to bathe them? In one of them, the lining is disgusting while the outside is okay. I could wipe down the outside with Lexol wipes but what do I do with the dirty lining? Does anyone know how I could clean the lining without getting the outside wet?! Thanks!

I wouldn't bathe them. I got one with very dirty lining. It is tricky because the lining is glued in so you can't pull it out like you can on the newer bags. Some people use baby wipes. I just used all-purpose spray cleaner with a damp cloth. It didn't get it perfect but it is a lot better than it was. You don't want to use a cleaner that would need to be rinsed out.

I have rehabbed 4 Italian Coach bags, 3 Madisons with caviar leather and cloth linings and 1 Gramercy with textured leather and suede-cloth lining. I have also rehabbed a similar bag that was made in the US during the same era, a Sheridan Glenwood bag with pebbled leather and a cloth lining. The creed patches on all of these bags said that the leather had been "specially treated to retain a new appearance over time."

I didn't want to give them a bath because I was worried about damage so I only used surface cleaning on the 3 Italian Madison bags (Gracie, Royalton, and Carlyle) and they all came out just fine.

I tried surface cleaning the Gramercy, but the suede lining was light-colored and very dirtly. I was able to pull the lining out of the bag and hand-wash it, but it didn't get very clean. I finally decided to give it a bath and it came out looking beautiful with no problems! You can see pics and more information at the link below:

The material used for the lining of the Sheridan Glenwood bag is very similar to the lining of the Italian Madison bags. This bag was filty inside and out so I knew that I would have to give it a bath, but it also came out nice and clean with no damage, see pics at the link below:

In summary, washing an Italian Madison bag is not my first choice but when it appears to be the only option then there is a good chance that you will be able to bathe it without damage, good luck!

Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing you your stories of rehab success! I got two Madison satchels and the lining definitely needs washing, I wouldn't put anything in there without fear of contagion :( I think I'll bathe one in cold water and woolite and scrub the lights out of that lining. Eep!! I'm scared lol but through your experience it should be okay. I'll keep everyone posted, thanks again katev with your amazing work :)
