Ok finally got pictures taken, in full sun. This is after bath, stuffing, one application of Leather CPR, and two apps of Lexol. It's super soft and shiny right now because I did the second coat of Lexol this morning!

Anyway, in the full sunlight, I am back to thinking burgundy, but I want to know if you all agree!

Presenting, vintage Coach Convertible Clutch!

Pretty! And looks burgundy to me..

That is definitely burgundy! It looks the same color as my burgundy basic bag.

I'd definitely say burgundy. I love how bags seem to change colors when you rehab them. Very, very pretty! Great job.

Thanks! And yes it is missing the hang tag. I just requested one from Coach. I rather doubt they will have a burgundy one on hand, but I'd be fine with brass instead I guess.

After NurseAnn posted pictures not too long ago of her rehabbed Willis, I went looking for one. whateve kindly helped with authentication. It was in pretty good shape when I started, so it was a pretty quick rehab. I gave her a bath, followed by two coats of Lexol, two coats of Skidmore's then two coats of Blackrocks to finish. I polished the brass and gave her a scarf to dress her up. Can't wait to carry her today. Here is a before and after.

That looks beautiful. Well done! The scarf looks great on it too.

So lets see if I can post this from my phone. I recently broke my ban and made a random suede eBay impulse purchase. I believe this is called 1412 Suede Eyelet Large Legacy Duffle. I'm not sure if it was the suede, the fact that I'm on a duffle binge, or the rehab challenge that inspired me to drop $25ish shipped on this baby but she was DIRTY! In fact she was so dirty that I just dropped her on the brick walkway to take theae pictures after unpacking. ImageUploadedByPurseForum1373153130.105395.jpg

Not clean inside either of course

Did I mention I fell in love with this bag when I unpacked it? I really wasn't sure why I bought it because its truly kind of odd looking, I'd seen the wristlet here and on eBay a few times but not sure if I'd seen the bag before. I wasn't expecting it to be so big and I fell in love with the tassel on the zipper and all the brass. So I thought it was something to play with but when I opened it I was suddenly emotionally invested.

o as dirty as she was, I knew the first bath would be in the washer. I recently bought soilove but hadn't tried it yet. I had put it in an old shout spray bottle and pretty much saturated it inside and out, then scrubbed the problem areas like between the grommets and around the zipper with a soft brush. Then I wrapped it up really well because I was concerned about scratching the brass and plasticky? stuff in the grommets popping out.

She came out much cleaner after her bath but still needed more work, as expected. She was about halfway dry when I got home from work next day but I subjected her to a sink bath and lots of scrubbing. Then I wrapped her up again, washed her one more time with two rinse cycles. I also used fabric softener. I had experimented with a couple other suede bags with no bad effects so I used a little more this time.

Oh I forgot to add that as it dried I brushed it with the suede coach brush. A lot of times with suede a wash cloth is enough but this needed a bit more, I think it really helped. Also the suede came out very soft, not sure if it was because of the fabric softener or not, but I don't have that, I wish I could condition it feeling. Any variation you see in the color is just the nap of the suede. It truly is clean. I will eventually but some black rocks on the smooth leather trim but I knew if I didn't take pix now I never would.

Amazing transformation! Congrats..
