Didn't need a ton of rehab (just leather conditioner and a little brassol) but here is my red Willis. The color is a very deep red that is slightly more like today's black cherry color than the photos portray. It even came with the original dark brown dust bag! Hi everyone!

I recently bought this coach briefcase on ebay and it's going to be my very first rehab!

I think that it's a british tan briefcase from the 80's and I know that the rehab is going to be rather delicate... I've specially bought lexol cleaner and conditioner and will buy some dove soap (we don't have Ivory or Woolite in Japan...) for the bath!

I'd be really happy if I can get some great advices from you girls!

Thank you! :D

PS : I just found that the inside of the back pocket was reaaaaally dirty!
Welcome to the forum and congrats on your first rehab.
Please make sure to post after pics! I'm sure your bag will come out great. :smile1:

I just had to share this. I just started working on this Plaza Court. It wasn't a style that was on my radar but now that she is drying, I think she is adorable. She's smiling! She looks like a pregnant Court! She looks two-tone because she isn't dry yet. She is quite a bit bigger than her sister.
This style is growing on me, too. I saw one cleaned up not too long ago and took a liking to them. I can't wait to see your finished results.

Finished up my burnt orange Legacy tote. I still don't know the official name of this, but Nekolassa had one and called Coach; they confirmed it was part of their Legacy line in the 70's. She is not in pristine condition, definitely looks vintage, but I love her!
I washed her, used Leather Therapy oil on her twice, then Blackrocks, Obenaufs and one last coat of blackrocks. I did a light shining of the brass, wanted a little vintage look to it as well.

ooohhhh......just beautiful!! glad only a light polish - Inlike the vintage look to the metal as well!

My jaw nearly dropped to the floor when I found this at Goodwill - outside the glass case - for $6.99! Hyacinth authenticated her as a Legacy Leather Shoulder bag #10328 from 2006. She was pretty limp and had a fair amount of wear outside and several ink spots on the legacy stripe lining. Alas, no hangtag, but so pretty in pink, I figured I could make some improvements. Before pics are here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-818914-60.html#post24781869

I brushed out the lining with a dry toothbrush and cleaned the brass rivets and zippers with a mixture of vinegar and salt. I didn’t want to mess with chemical brass cleaner next to pink leather...call me chicken. Then she got a sudsy, warm bath and soak in Dawn. I used Soilove on the ink spots on the lining and on the outside bottom, gently scrubbing with a toothbrush. The lining came clean, with one small spot remaining. I guess that spot may have just been older than the others, or a different kind of ink. The leather on the bottom improved, but still has issues...who sees that, anyway? Stuffed her to dry, then while still a little damp did Leather CPR 2X. Finished her with Blackrocks, which I had hoped would deepen the color. It didn’t, but gave the leather a really nice glow. Buffed with a microfiber cloth and I’m done and couldn’t be any happier!
Gorgeous and the price?? Lucky!!

What a pretty bag! I feel the same way about the brass. If the bag looks vintage, the brass should as well. I got a bag that looked the same orange color when I got it. After the bath it turned red. I was a little sad to see the orange disappear. It was such a pretty color.
