Your Navy Willis looks brand new! You're so lucky to have found that color. I love the Willis style so much. I am thinking of finding one in red but I'm scared of rehabbing it. The tassel fobs look classic to me and are the only ones I'd dress these bags up with. How did you switch out the hardware?

Thanks! I just slipped the tassel off the split ring and threaded it onto the ring for a fob that has gold hardware.

I've got a tassel in most colors and the first thing I do is remove the keyring. Just like removing a key, except you have to open the ring a little wider to keep from damaging the leather.

Whenever I want to use one I just use a ball chain of the appropriate color. I have the ball chains in silver, gold, antique brass, and brushed nickel.
You use them just like a hang tag. After I'm done using it I can hang it up by using the ball chain or I can lay it flat in a drawer.

Wish I would have thought of this before I passed up on the Navy and Carnelian tassels at my outlet because they didn't have brass HW. It's so simple why didn't I think of it?!

Haha I'll blame it on my two year old. He makes most complex thought processes very difficult. I swear I can do critical thinking when I am at work away from him.

Oh man, a 2 year old can do that to you!

I hate it when I have those 'blonde' moments....especially when hubby points out the obviously easy solution! Argghhh!
(But I sure love it when I can turn it around and do it to him!) :roflmfao:

You're not going to be able to get the dark burnished spots out. I am more aggressive than some others but if I could get that bag inexpensivelyi would probably dunk it to clean it. I don't think it would make a big difference in the appearance and it would make me feel better abou carrying it if I knew it was clean. I've never had problems with the legacy stripe running or fading. I would just reshape and condition with some apple.

Experts, any hope for this bag?

That bag makes me sad. I have a vachetta bag that I have not treated with anything and am afraid to mess up. I have heard that Blackrock will be ok on Coach Vachetta. It will both clean and condition so that might be an option. If you get it, please let us know how it goes.

Not really Coach, but Bonnie Cashin counts ;) Here's my lovely "new" Bonnie for Meyers! You can read about it here too if you're interested!
