Does anyone know how to get an exact match for the Blush color in acrylic paint?

My mini tanner, only three weeks old, had a bad stain/scuff on the tip of the outside lining and I could not get it out. I ended up making it worse and discoloring some of the tan color on the corner too

So I tried to mix some acrylic colors but this is the best I could do. The difference in color is not too noticeable but I would like to get a closer match if possible. Any help??

IRL, it is not clearly wear, like the wear it shows on the strap or handles. Link to the listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/300900630201?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649. I mistook it to be wear as well, as shown in listing pictures 3 & 4. In person, it looks like a fuzzy overgrowth, like on rotting fruits or veg's. Similar to some fungus. Would like to know if anyone has experienced this before, and how can this be treated. Thanks.
I would try what Whateve suggested and then try treating with Leather Therapy Oil, which is supposed to inhibit the growth of mold and mildew.

Looking at the picture, it really is noticeable!!! :rain:

Joining the club with my Willis bag that Hyacinth so kindly authenticated. It didn't require much in the way of rehab. The leather was in great condition with no odor so I didn't have to give her a bath. Just used some Lexol leather conditioner and brassol to shine up the hardware. The brass cleaning was tedious but worth it. The cleaner smelled horrible. A little like cleaning brass with 100% cat pee. It worked though and the brass really shines. The before and after pictures really don't show much of a change but the leather really gained a rich luster from the lotion. This leather is addictive. It is so buttery smooth but still strong. My next search will be for something in British Tan.

Well done, looks fabulous!

If you want to paint an entire bag, I would recommend buying either leather dye or Wood n Stuff leather refinisher. Acrylic paint is fine for edges and touchups but for large surfaces, it doesn't have the right texture or gloss.

I don't think poster paint is the same as acrylic paint. I use the acrylic craft paint that is sold in craft stores and Walmart for a dollar or two a bottle. I mix it with leather conditioner and use a q-tip or paintbrush, sometimes my fingers, which help blend it in.

thanks whateve! i will be heading out today to look for acrylic paint and leather dye! thankssss!

I had very good success with FolkArt PLAID 420 Linen acrylic on an ivory colored bag about a year ago. Probably bought it at Wal-mart or Jo-Ann's. I mixed it with Leather CPR conditioner to make it more transparent. Welcome...and Good Luck!

Sorry, didn't realize the pictures did not attach. I hope they have this time. I'm curious to know as well, and any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Since it is in the same spot on both sides I would guess that it is wear from the long strap that threads under the flap. It may have gotten a bit frayed from rubbing and that's why it seems a little fuzzy.

It is hard to tell from the pics but it doesn't really look mold to me. Does it smell bad? Mold usually has a rather noticeable odor (like wet towels that have been allowed to sit around too long.)

Perhaps it would work to use a nail scissors to trim any frayed bits and then touch it up with black acrylic paint.

Cute bag, good luck!

You really can see the difference! Did you take inspiration from katev with your tassel? She zhuzhed up her navy willis with one after a long rehab too. Think I might join the tassled Willis club, they look gorgeous ;-)

I would like to know if bathing my new, rare Olympics bag is a good idea

I have bathed a green, glove-tanned leather bag without problems but I am concerned about those whitish spots inside your bag; do they look like mold? Are the spots powdery? Does the bag have a moldy smell? Like wet towels that have been left to sit around too long. Or do you think it is just dusty?

If it has mold than bathing it could cause the mold to overgrow the bag and ruin it. That happened to me once with a black city bag.

It's actually on the back and the bag does not smell of anything but goodwill where I got it. The spots look more like dirt than mold.
