If you call Coach customer service in Jacksonville they will send you one for free, but it may take several weeks to arrive. You can also stop into a Coach boutique and ask the SAs for a replacement hangtag. They are usually very willing to help out customers with a free hangtag.

If you bought the bag or ebay or bonz don't tell them that, they hate ebay. Say you got it from a relative or something like that. Good luck!

I just contacted them by email and they are sending one right out to me, no questions asked, it was great! Thanks for the info!

Katev, how does Leather Therapy compare with Emu? I have a couple of bags that could use some intense conditioning. One is a Cashin for Meyers that I haven't posted here yet, for some reason...I worked on it a little then went out of town and set it aside because it's going to need some serious conditioning and work.

I have only used the Emu oil a couple of times but so far I like it. It is odorless and easy to apply and I think it does a little better job of moisturizing a really dried out bag.

The Leather Therapy Oil has a strong scent, but it is not unpleasant and it does fade with time. I have actually found the smell to be an asset a few times with vintage bags that had a slight, lingering "musty" odor.

Neither of them darken the leather and the Leather Therapy Oil says on the label that it inhibits mold.

The leather therapy oil leaves a shinier surface when it dries, the emu oil gets a bit dull looking when dry, but it buffs up easily.

Hope that helps!

Yes it does-it sounds like they both work pretty well, so it may depend on price for me. I have two or three bags that need more moisturizing that I seem to be getting from Leather CPR.

I didn't know you could email for this. I'd much rather email than deal with a phone call. I've not seen an email link for this. Is it easy to find this contact link?

I literally went to Coach.com and went to CONTACT US and filled in the info and asked my question and within 5 minutes they replied and asked for my address and then sent me a confirmation email with the confirmation number and said it went out and might take up to 2 weeks to receive it. So damn excited!

Hi Katev,

Is Emu oil the strongest moisturizer you'd recommend? I'm looking for the strongest moisturizer that doesn't "seal" the leather, like Blackrocks does. At least, I think it does. I'm a beginner so I'm not sure.

I have a couple of older bags that need some serious conditioning.

Thanks!

I have rewashed my black convertable clutch and have put several layers of Lexol conditioner on it but the back and front flap of the bag still has a matt finish. I did order some Blackrock from ebay last night. Will this product give it a nice shine or is this the way the leather is supposed to be on this bag. it is Confusing to me because the leather on the body of the bag under the flap has a nice sheen. maybe the outside of the bag is just worn??

I emailed here, [email protected], for a replacement.

Thanks so much !! I had thought about doing it this way, but nowhere in their customer service info did they actually SAY hangtag replacement...just straps and turnlock/hardware kits. This is great to know. And yes, I wonder what my year limit would be LOL. I only need about 20 or more :D

Hello Rehabbers! I was hoping for a little more advice on my courier pouch. So far I have bathed her in wool wash, using a soft sponge that had Lexol cleaner on it to scrub at the stained looking areas. I have put 4 applications of Leather CPR on so far. I am quickly seeing that the Leather CPR is not going to be strong enough....well maybe if I used the whole tube! I got Leather Honey in the mail today and I have Black Rocks coming next week. But, as you can see from the pictures below, the stained looking areas are still there. Should I throw her back in the bath? Wait for the Black Rocks and hope it will even the color out more?

It's the strongest moisturizer that I have used so far - but again I haven't used it very much. I am quite pleased with the work it did on my tan patricia's legacy that was very, very dry.

I believe that blackrocks does "finish the leather" because it contains wax.

I do not think that emu oil seals or finishes the leather. Coffee&Coach was the TPFer that recommended emu oil to me and she told me that if I wanted to finish the leather after applying the emu oil, I would need to rub the bag down with beeswax.

I bought the refined filtered 100% pure emu oil but I never got around to rehabbing the bag that I had asked her about (a $535 2008 Kooba Devin that I found at the thrift store for $13 - I should get that out and work on it!)

Anyway, I was doing everything I could think of to moisturize my tan PL but it just sucked up the leather cpr and therapy oil and stubbornly remained dry and stiff. I suddenly remembered the emu oil and decided to try it and I was immediately impressed with how much better the leather looked and felt.

That's all I know, you could pm Coffee&Coach directly for more information.
