The boutiques in my area don't care the "original" bags, but I would say the City Bag is the bigger of the three you mention. I have the Rambler and it is not that big, but I can get a full size wallet but not much more!

The city bag is definitely the biggest of the three. I have one in black, and I can fit a full sized zip around wallet, cosmetic case, checkbook, mini skinny, and by blackberry, and still have a little room to spare (but not much :)

As others have said, the City Bag is the largest of those 3 bags. It's a nice, medium-sized bag, but not huge.

One time when I was asking for authentication of a ebay bag; BeenBurned advised me to take a ruler and pen/paper and draw out the dimensions of the bag to figure out if it would work for me. It was good advice and I have used it several times since then.

Thank you for your replies. They are very helpful indeed! The City Bag appears to be the kind of bag that I'm looking for here. The Stewardess also seems very interesting, but I think that it is different enough to be another purchase possibility in the more distant future.

I always loved the Coach original bags, and the Stewardess bag was always very popular.
Coach just opened their Men's Shop in Paramus NJ.
It reminded me of what Coach used to be, everything was gorgeous!

A little OT - I do the same and just a quick note of warning, I notice that some stores once inside are blocking cell phone signals so people cannot price check.. etc.. :smile1:

oh my....I am so glad that hasn't happened to me here!! That would be A DEAL BREAKER for me and I"d give my business to another thrift shop!!

I know that the style of the strap has changed over time. Earlier Basic Bags have a double strap and newer ones have a single strap. The earliest Basic Bags have a very heavy industrial TALON zipper but Coach started using a lighter YKK zipper for the Basic quite some time ago.
