Here are my bags purchase in the 90's, plus my "new" stewardess #9535 bag in british tan made in China. My rambler is a dark steel grey & abbie is lavender both with nickel hardware made in United States.

Love that Steel Rambler...How do you like your "new" Stewardess is this from the new ones online?

Beautiful, classic bags! I love the rambler!

I think that your new Stewardess is the 9525 model. The classic glove-tanned bag, not one of the new light-weight bags, correct? How do you like it and how does it compare to your older bags?

Vintage is really based on age, not the location of manufacture. If the bag is 20 years old or older, then it is vintage. A 20 year old "made in China" bag is a vintage bag.

The bag below was made in Costa Rica 19 years ago and I consider it "near-vintage" and in 1 year it will truly be vintage!
Ooooo I love this style bag and what a great color! You always find the good ones!

That was a hard bag to find! The red bags are rare, expensive, and in high demand.

I wanted a pretty, vintage red leather bag in decent condition. I started looking in the fall (to give as a Christmas present) but I eventually found one just in time for a Mother's Day. It took that long to find a suitable red bag!

I just bought one similar to that style in a saddle color and it was pretty beat up. I gave it 2 baths, moisturized it, replaced the turnlock, and used brasso on the rest of the hardware. I'm still waiting for my apple moisturizer to come in the mail so I can finish it up but it was fun. I do love the reds though. People are always looking for red bags!

@SilviaLovesBags, I love my Stewardess bag, yes its available online style #9525 classic glove-tanned leather...I'm thinking about another one in a different style as my next purchase.

@katev, You are correct it is #9525 model, the classic glove-tanned leather. It feels just like my other ones I purchase in the 90s...already thinking about my next purchase (maybe a mahogany willis)! Thank you for starting this thread as well.

how often are vintage coach bags faked? i would imagine the newer non- leathery designs... like the CC logo designs are more faked, no?

Couldn't you clearly feel the difference on a FAKE vintage leather coach bag?
I would imagine a FAKE vintage leather coach bag would feel like pleather??

You'd be shocked at how good some of the vintage fakes are. And the leather is totally great on the fakes. I honestly don't understand why they bothered faking a bag and making it feel so nice!!! I've been burned 3 times this way. The willis bag I bought was my own darn fault for not reading the creed properly but the bag looks and feels amazing. I also have a faked ergo mini hobo and another smaller crossbody that I can't remember the name of. All were good fakes until you know what tiny details to look for, or in my case, had another bag to look at side by side. I now bring my internet enabled smart phone to the store with me and check creed #s before I buy!!

Does anybody know whether the Coach boutiques carry samples of the Coach originals? I'm looking into purchasing a vintage or almost vintage City Bag, Court Bag, or Rambler's Legacy, and I'm not sure which one would be best for me. I have looked at pictures of them all but that isn't helping me in my decision. I know that they're all essentially not that big and I want to be sure that if I put in a full sized wallet, I will still be able to fit a few other things as well.
