Amen!

Of course, we'll completely ignore mens' polyester suits (the dreaded Leisure Suit, or what I think of as "Car Salesman Specials"), platform shoes for guys, and Disco. Especially when they occured together. :giggle:

OMG LOL! Yeah, some things are best forgotten!

On the other hand, Travolta knew how to do it:

I am watching "Escaping the NXIVM Cult: A Mother's Fight to Save Her Daughter", and the actress who plays Catheine Oxenberg is carrying an older style (2014-ish) Edie.
Replying to my own post, because it's too late to edit it. It's not an Edie. It's a Madison Phoebe. I completely forgot about the fact that that shoulder style with three compartments was known as Phoebe before it was reintroduced with some changes as Edie.

I love this thread! Can spotting vintage coach bags in movies be considered a hobby? I spotted a basic bag in Mindhunter (set in the late 70's - early 80's)
There is also an a seller on etsy with a great instagram Regent Street Vintage. They posted these great pics of Rhoda from The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Sandra Bullock in Hope Floats, Sigourney Weaver in Ghostbuster II, and Jodie Foster in Silence of the Lambs
