Coach Fall 2017 Thread!

I'd like to think they're not being devious about it or laughing at us - even metaphorically. The average Coach shopper doesn't know what will be the collection until they enter a store or get an email about it. A very small percentage views the RTW shows and an even smaller percent tries to obtain those items straight off the runway. Sure the little coin pouches are adorable but very few people feel they need them this very moment. In a community like this, we're kind of used to that being the norm, but realistically Coach won't design and produce an item and then only make it available to a secret few. It's not a good business strategy and it wouldn't make sense for items to disappear before officially appearing. I know it has happened to some items over the years but the pieces we're talking about were central to the Fall 2017 collection. You will all get your chance, I think.

Just got this with offer to place an order! Leaning toward the burgundy. It is crazy that the embossing boosts the price $300!

Sorry to be so dense -- do you mean there will be non-Rexy embossed, plain, Rogue 38's. selling for $695??

Ok, nevermind -- I get the picture -- I was challenged by the concept of this Tote also being sold as a plain Rogue 38...damn A.D.D.!

You make some great valid points, I think. I'll write more here later...

Coach in the past has released a limited amount of runway bags and then about a month later released more. I'm guessing that is what they are doing with the Rexy carriage. The Carolines were like that.
That makes sense- I did not get the impression it would be hard to procure once it was officially launched and pre-orders are available now.

It may be that a few of us have missed out on pieces that turned out to be limited (mostly the pop up stuff in my case) that makes us jump to conclusions and then breathlessly pursue items for fear of missing out. Thank you for your words of wisdom and reminder that Coach is a business and it does not serve their bottomline to offend their base.

I believe she means it's 300 more than similar totes without the rexy embossing

That extra $300 is probably justified given the embossing, but might be due to the larger size of the item. A larger tote uses more leather. I think that inner pouch is bigger too on the 38 vs. the regular sized tote.

This is probably seen as a similar strategy to the price difference of a Rogue 25 vs. 36, for example.

I'm not really questioning the worth of the items, that's for each individual to decide. Some people think, rightly so, the totes are amazing and worth their price. Others may think so but it may be more than they're willing to pay. Others may not see the hype or understand the price. Coach is more affordable than almost all other brands with RTW collections. A leather bag of that quality and size would be marked up thousands if it appeared on any other runway.

Personally I'm on a strike until my recent issues are addressed, but even before then I was debating about the tote. I think I'd rather get a rogue or a satchel + wallet set for that price. I think you get the idea of what I'm saying! Hopefully some of the more 'splurge' or 'indulgence' pieces end up being on sale ultimately haha

There was a group of 5 Runway Rogues in 2016 that were completely limited, never to be produced again. They had various patches sewn on front and were regular size Rogues -- actually, they were the Rogue's Debut, if I recall! They sold out in minutes online as the event was pre-scheduled. I was so excited to grab the Teddy Bear, after missing out on the Red Suede Rocketship...too bad i ended up hating the Teddy Bear patch, which was converted to my first DIY project, haha.

Here they are:
Red Suede w/Rocketship Patch (I'm still pining for that one)
Navy pebbled leather w/Teddy Bear Patch/Orange handles (I got that one)
Suede Saddle color w/the '41' Patch
A solid color pebbled leather (forgot color) w/Raccoon Patch
Another solid color with an animal (?) patch...or maybe it was a Varsity Patch?

Variations of the above came out a while later, with similar patches or combo of patches on the front, but the original Runway ones were actually Limited and became collector's items.

Does anyone recall what patch or colors were on that fifth model?
