I declined -- partially because I prefer to order in LIVE time (as I always joke about) and because I've just gone overboard with all Coach products in record-breaking time, even for me!

I've already received my freshly purchased Keith Haring (from EBay) chalk Hudson Tote w/yellow barking dog. I am sooo out of control...I know, who isn't? :lol:

You are right-it may really be gone- I remember I was late to the party with those limited Rexy gotham totes and they are just a fond memory <sigh> the likes of which I never saw again (except on ebay!).

I bought many beautiful things during the sale so I may just have to be content with the 2 little coin pouches this fall and wait for the next big sale.

I just spoke with my local Coach watering hole and Rexy rogue tote is available @995 in both saddle and burgundy. It is part of the fall collection to be released around Aug. 20. There is no shortage at this time at the warehouse.

Yeah, weird that others are still ordering it. I had left my cc with Coach Vancouver weeks ago, so they ordered it on the 10th and refunded today. They also left a voicemail saying that when they look in the system, it's showing as "no product available" - ? Whatevs! Like I said, I'd decided against it after all so it all works out in the end! It's super-cute and I'm sure I'd love it, but I've got to stop!!!

Hmmm...so you were told that the two Rexy & Carriage Totes WILL be publicly released around August 20th?? So this "limited edition shortage" hype was just Coach gaming us? Is your local Coach watering hole a reliable source do you think?

Just got this with offer to place an order! Leaning toward the burgundy. It is crazy that the embossing boosts the price $300!

Do you have pictures of more items? Man, you guys are lucky you have nice SAs.

I'm told the kisslock satchels with rexy will be 8.75 in x 4.75 in x 3.50 in also due to be released at the end of the month and will retail for $550.

I doubt that any of these items are super limited and I'm not sure Coach hyped it up to be. I think we kind of did it to ourselves because ordering / getting stuff before it's available online and in stores is exciting. I expect some of the more expensive stuff to end up at the end of season sale; maybe it's wishful thinking, but some of those totes could be discounted too because the price is very steep.

I do remember a conversation I had with a Coach VP awhile back who did say that with certain runway pieces, which are set for regular public sale, there are a certain amount in "stock" before the actual production of the rest of them. I wonder if that's why when SA check their system, they see a limited number available which gives us the illusion of limited stock BUT in reality there will be more available at a later date? Maybe the true limited pieces are those offered via the "capsule" sale like those Gotham Rexy totes in those beautiful colors. Who knows? Coach is very mysterious with their stock!

You may be correct -- and we DO bring the mania upon ourselves!! I'd love to be that fly on the wall when the Coach 'powers that be' are rolling on the floor laughing their hind parts off, while discussing their next big move!!
