I know this has been said before - but it's very frustrating that the inventory is available & sold out in store while it's "coming soon" on the website. Oh well, I'll know for next time. Guess I need to build a relationship with a SA. :confused1:

In my experience SAs are generally unaware of what's going on. I think that most SAs really can't believe that we are that interested in handbags! LOL :)

It's not just Coach...it's very rate to find a SA with any designer that actually knows what's going on--LV, Chanel, BV, Celine, MK, I could go on but you get the gist!

I used to work with particular SAs at all these places but now I know it's not needed. I'm not someone who needs my hand held, I am fine doing the research and basically just need someone to lookup the particular items I want to buy.

I think you're better off hanging out in the brand forum and then reaching out to Customer Service. My 2 cents.

I agree. I have a wonderful S.A. and she does 95% of the work/research/tracking/expedited free shipping.....etc. Plus she's a great person and I enjoy talking to her, not just about Coach.

Thank you! I appreciate the quick response and the picture. I wanted the orange and mahagony, but is sold out.

I think you should keep asking about its availability if that's your #1 choice because someone will return one (statistically speaking). I'm fairly sure if you're persistent enough you can buy it.

Well the satchels that are sold out now were on the website (in the case of the seemingly fastest selling red/oxblood horse/duck one and orange'mahagony) but sold out the same day since they were literally numbered. I don't have a dedicated SA and I don't even think you need one but you definitely have to stay on top of things when a new collection is about to come out (easy to do if you frequent this forum!). However a good SA would alert you to an upcoming collection and items you may like - as you see based on people's responses most people's SAs are not that competent and know even less than us. As I told SEWDimples you can probably still track down an item even though it sold out. Hope you get what you want!

This so much. I'd rather have an SA who is patient enough to look at the computer and find style numbers for me and not make me feel weird for asking about 20 different items, returning / changing my mind than someone who spams me with messages

Thanks all! I think I'm going to take a calm down & keep my Dinky Cherry print. The kisslocks seemed to fly off the shelves so I'm sure they'll have more fantastic colors/prints down the road. Deep breaths... Deep breaths... Pacing myself for my Bandit...

Also, by keeping up with all the great information dispensed here, you can score grail pieces without the help of an SA. I was able to get the last of the horse/duck (I presume it is numbered) satchel from the warehouse just from the information here. I appreciate all the great posts about inventory levels and what is on the horizon and of course the heads' up about sales!

Really? I wish I had known.

Yes, call them-I was just there about an hour before closing today, they said they had just put it out for the first time this morning. When I called yesterday they had 9, and I bought one. They had one on display.

As others are saying, the SAs are not always knowledgeable or helpful. I called a different location closer to me and the SA kept trying to convince me that I was asking for: the Rogue, the Mercer, and the Drifter because she had not heard of a bag called the kiss lock satchel. I could not get her off the phone fast enough, as she was trying to get me to go into that store.

I don't know if anyone is talking about it but I saw the Rogue briefcase and it is really nice! Unfortunately it would look enormous on me but a man came in to buy it at his wife's request while I was waiting to pay.

I bought this as a work bag in grey glovetanned leather and am impatiently awaiting its arrival. Did you happen to see that one? I'm super curious about the lining color and hardware (looks nickel, but says black copper).

Hoping the size isn't too overwhelming as I'm petite, but I really want another work bag actually designed to carry a laptop.

There are many SAs that are very competent and in the know. You may not have one, but that doesn't mean they aren't out there!

1000% this! I work with one SA who knows my style and willingness to get what I want. However, she knows that she'll never sell me on something I'm not asking for, and because of that I only order from her.
