I logged in, some FP are back to 55%, while others are 50%. I was going to grab a swagger chain crossbody, but with the extra 20%, that puts me under the $200 for free ship and I would have to buy something else to get free shipping.Curious to see if they drop all FP Deletes to 50% and then get 20%. Well, I just bought the "Laural frame bag in colroblock with snakeskin detail." Yup. The listing is for"colroblock." I have a Laural in evergreen. Here I go again. By the way, original price was $795, and my price was $286.20.
I do like it. I wish the leather was a bit thicker since it is a structured bag, but it's still is good looking bag. I love frame bags. I have the kiss lock frame bag, too.

Yup! I have a feeling those are going to be the new fringed/quilted/patchwork rogues, and will show up every sale for the next year. I love my Rogue 36's but with all the Coach pricing and quality issues on FOS, I am getting over buying new ones. My eyes are starting to wander back to premier bags. I also am craving some vintage coach and might go in that direction next. The quality of the leather on new bags on the regular coach site is just not there for me. All the celebrity models will not hide the fact that the bags are stripped down of details and made of lesser leather. Meh.
I went to the retail store earlier this week to return a bag and there seemed to be a new manager working. We had a discussion about the online issues mostly about factory but he said people have been asking for lighter bags and they can cut the leather thinner. I feel it cheapens the bag and I don't need it to be that light. I want to know I'm carrying a cow! I know others have different desires and am OK with that but would be nice if they had some of both. I feel Stuart has made some wrong turns lately but supposedly he is responding to market desires. Just not my market!
They already cut the leather thinner. There is only one outside piece. The rest are sanded and filled to make them feel like leather. Even the outside piece is altered to cover up scars.

And thin leather can be done well. I'm a Balenciaga girl and that thin leather did not look cheap. It's not just the thinner leather, its the cheaper GRADE of leather and the removal of details from the bags so that they all look the same.
They are using low grade thin leather and no details. All the styles look almost the same frankly. They think their customers won't notice, but those of us that came back to I was at the outlet last night and they had more than their usual allotment of deletes. I still came with nothing. Most looked kind of tired or novelty-ish that I would regret purchasing. They had a bordeaux dinky with all sorts of Elvis embellishments on it that was cute and went perfect with the outfit I happened to be wearing but knew I'd regret purchasing. So I walked away.....
I feel like I have responded on this topic more than once so will say my piece and then just let it be, and let you feel we are all carrying crap bags if we carry anything other than a Rogue. I personally think it is easy to favor something and then find everything else to be lower quality because it isn’t your preference. We can all do that to some degree. But the reality is I own several different styles that are very different than the a Rogue, and not one of them are cheap or lesser level. They are just different. None of mine feel thin or crappy or not up to par. The quality of all of them, old and new, are very nice. I owned a few Rogue bags and never found my Rogue bags to be better, just different.I am not sure that is even the real reason lol. Of course that is what they would tell employees and customers.
