You’re welcome! I learned about the strap maker from the balenciaga forums and got a crossbody strap for a vintage city bag as well as this Empire 40. Makes them both work so much better for me. I recently got the soft 28 and if I keep the bag, I might get her a shoulder strap too

My new honey brown 28 isn’t too burnished but I am game.
Have we seen the ones from the Fall runway show? They have a bit longer handles, but I cannot tell if they are the 26 size or smaller??
I finally got to really look at the bag and she definitely has burnished areas. Slight but they are there in the light 😊

I tried one on in the store today, it was on display and just adorable. If I wasn't waiting to see the new Duffle bag in honey brown, I would have bought one. The quality on it felt a bit more elevated than some of the larger models, not sure why lol. Gorgeous bag!
I do wonder how they apply the burnishing on the honey. When I was picking my 48, I had a few to look at. I wanted the most burnished, it kind of felt like I was looking at different shades of white paint lol
This bag is just charming. I love the yellow hang tag, great color for spring/summer and compliments the honey. For some reason I bought three hang tags in fall colors lol, orange, maple, and honey.
It is cute right?!? I’m shocked by how much I like it! I agree it feels more substantial than my 40 in honey felt, but it’s probably due to the size? My particular 28 has more burnishing than my 40 did. I returned my honey 40 so I can’t look at it for reference. My Merlot is no comparison and my navy is heavily burnished as well. I think they are all so different.

Meanwhile my navy 40 has been held in every light imaginable and I have to squint, stand upside down and wish upon a star to see any burnishing 😅
I even went into the store to see if we could look at all their navy options and they’re all the same. I think the navy bags that came out with the first release batch last year had more likelihood of being burnished but the new ones from this year, less so.
I definitely know how you feel. It’s a struggle to get a good burnish effect 😂. If you find one you hold onto it 😊
It’s crazy how different they were. I’m betting the demand was driving them to crank them out too fast. My navy and Merlot were first batch so I definitely got lucky on them.

I have the Merlot in 40 that I use all the time. Her corners are getting worn but I don’t care. I was watching Autumn Beckman on YouTube and her video showed a pic of a honey brown empire so I immediately went to the Coach site. Lo and behold the 40 in that color was back in stock. I put my order in and am expecting delivery this Friday! I plan to use it as a summer tote.
