I saw that this morning and thought I was hallucinating. Lol.
My amazon empire 28 finally arrived today and she is really cute 😊. I think this bag will definitely appeal to alot of people. It’s a great size. Unfortunately for me I already have 2 bags in this size and similar color that I refuse to part with, so I’m sending back. Against the 40-
It is the honey brown in horrible lighting in my spare room 😂
I can take another tomorrow during the day if anyone is curious about it. It truly is a shrunken down version of the 40. It’s really a nice bag!!
I notice the honey on the 48 has VERY slight burnishing, but it's extremely difficult to capture on camera. On the website it looks like it has none, but in person you can definitely tell there's a faint shadow lol. I was waiting for the 40 in honey to come in stock, but I really like the size comparison you did and think that's a better alternative
I had the 40 in honey but returned due to an issue and it had the slight burnishing on it. But it was exactly how you explain, it was slight. My Merlot 40 has heavy burnishing and I wish the honey had the same. It’s a great touch! The 28 has that same slight burnishing effect. Or I should say this one does. But I would guess it’s going to look different with every bag, like the big ones.
The size of the 28 is probably going to be popular, it’s a great day size for people who don’t like huge bags. I definitely can see the appeal of it being the exact bag just shrunk down. It’s a cool little bag 😊
I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees this lol! I thought I was nuts for a bit, all my friends wanted to see the burnishing, but I couldn't quite capture it on camera. I tried taking pictures outside, inside, at night with the lights on, all came out different. The best picture I got was inside, it looks like the overhead lighting is making a shadow, but it's just the slight burnish effect.
When I had the Merlot 48, the burnishing on that bag was amazing. I actually returned that bag for an issue...which was a shame because I hadn't seen a Merlot with burnishing that extreme in that size.
I'm thinking the 28 will be a great everyday bag, and when I'm traveling I can put it inside my 48 hahah
My friend saw it in store and saw minimal burnishing on the honey brown but said the color was still beautiful
Yup, that’s similar to the 28 she tried in the Coach store. The burnishing is very minimal if there at all. Definitely not as obvious as you see on the Merlot in the larger sizes. I opted for the honey in the 34 glazed leather and got the 28 in the black. Agreed, the 28 size is perfect!
Took them forever! My soft 28 in honey brown finally came in this week from Amazon. I like it a lot but didn’t feel the “wow 😍” feeling I got when my Navy 40 came in. Or my black western tabby (which I’m also obsessed with). I’ll give it a couple weeks to see how I feel - if I don’t reach for it, I think I’ll be sending it back.View attachment 6150225

The burnishing is so so slight on the honey 28, but agree it’s there! Taken in terrible lighting but I think you can tell a bit here. In bright light, i feel like it disappears.
