I need opinions.

I ordered a 28 in Stone and then found 35 in maple.

I’m just not sure if maple is big on me. I’m more used to 28 size type bags.

Thoughts?

And did 35 ever come in honey brown or just 40?

I wonder if this will make the non black colors of this bag i.e. merlot or honey brown in the 48 as collectors items someday. It's such a friendly price point for so much gorgeous leather and a timeless design. I'm tempted to get the larger one for my travel bag on top of my rolling suitcase. I think way too big for my everyday bag, but for travel or work here and there, maybe.

This could be very true! Especially since the 48 seems to be geared more towards travel, over time a lot will tend to show wear and tear. I feel like the worn in look will only add to the beauty, but one in like new condition would definitely be a collector/statement piece if they phase the colors out. I really regret not grabbing a 48 Merlot when it was in stock online :/

I love BIG bags, so I never really followed the colors under size 40 unfortunately. However I think both look great on you, for me it would probably come down to how much I want to carry. Also if you have a lot of bags around the 28 size, maybe having a larger one would be a nice addition. It's hard because both colors are gorgeous!

I think the smaller one looks better. If you don't absolutely need a larger bag, then I'd go with the 28 Empire. The color Maple is really beautiful, though.

So my 48 comes today but now I’m wondering if I *need* to grab a 40 too. The old conundrum of not buying one and then wanting one later but then finding out they are all out of stock and not being made anymore. 🤣🤣

I really think this is its best/signature color. Any if it's true it's being phased out it will only grow in value. I've already seen it for sale for twice the retail price - the harder to find and more limited, the more to cherish! (If it's what makes you happy).

I agree, I fell for more FOMO LOL. I got the kisslock backpack in dark brown, and decided to get the Empire 48 in Maple to compliment it. Luckily my boutique had one in stock, the 48s are all sold out online. The dark brown is definitely more of a milk chocolate, but I do love that there is a bit of contrast. The backpack is HUGE and makes the 48 look small! I'm debating whether or not to get the new XL dark brown hang tag that's about the size of an iPhone lol.
