Coach Empire 2024

I need opinions.

I ordered a 28 in Stone and then found 35 in maple.

I’m just not sure if maple is big on me. I’m more used to 28 size type bags.

Thoughts?

And did 35 ever come in honey brown or just 40?
I just ordered the 34 in the crinkled honey as well as the 28 in the Stone.
I’m struggling with both the 28 and the 35 but both look awesome on you. Curious to hear which you kept or if you kept both:graucho:
Anyway, I like the 28 because of the size but heard such raves regarding the natural grained leather over the glove tanned I decided to order the 34 because I wanted the honey color and compare the leathers.

I caved and ordered the 28 soft in Honey after I saw a TikTok on it. It’s got a zip top and has the natural grain leather like the 48, not glove tanned.
I caved also as I’ve been down this Coach Empire rabbit hole since last night.
I’ve literally ordered 2 size 28s - 1 in honey and 1 in stone and 1 size 34 in honey in the last 24 hours.
Now I have to see which I keep
The FOMO is real

I also caved and ordered the soft 28 too in black and honey brown yesterday (if it works, only keeping one). I love that the leather is supposed to be similar to the 40 and with no middle compartment so less structure.

For anyone interested, I happened to stop by a store today to ask about the new Soft 28 that showed up on Amazon and I think dillards and they had no idea what it was or that there was even a new 28. She looked it up and apparently it should be coming later this month

Sure! Mine is Empire 40 in Merlot. Just got mine, so can't say how it will hold up but will do updates!

My beautiful Merlot made it after a long wait!! It was my first choice but I ended up buying the navy because it was always out of stock in Merlot. It’s as beautiful as I imagined it would be 😍😍
She’s perfect for fall and winter ❄️ 🍁

I’m in a coach whirlwind right now it seems. Rediscovering a brand you loved long ago is pretty fun 😉

Hey @fayden and @wildwest81 - asking this since y’all got your Merlots a few months ago, what is stamped on the bottom?

I got my Merlot just last week and it’s stamped “Genuine Full Grain Leather.”

My Dark Navy and Honey are both stamped “Natural Full Grain Leather.”

Just curious if the type of leather they used on the Merlot changed from the initial offering.

Hi I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for inserts for the 48? Thank you!

I might try the Jennykrafts one. They have a website and an Etsy storefront. I like this version as it’s not felt and shouldn’t add too much weight to the 48:

Mine says natural full grain leather. Wonder why the change?

There’s a definite difference in the look and feel of my “Genuine” Merlot which is smother and less pliable vs my “Natural” Navy and Honey which are more grainy and softer.

This is off-putting for me knowing I spent $750+ for Merlot and the leather is different and qualified as a less quality, less durable leather. Need to decide if I’m going to just roll with it, or see if my store manager can locate a “Genuine” for an exchange.

Funny (sorta) how something like this can derail my whole mood & feeling toward this bag.

Can I see a photo of your Merlot? I would like to see if I can tell the difference.

Admittedly, my pickiness is a curse and an annoyance, even to myself.😁 But for some reason, my store manager loves that about me 😂 and she’s also curious about the leather change. She’ll make some phone calls tomorrow & do a little recon.

She assured me over time & use, the Merlot would soften and grain-up; however, if she can find one in the Natural Full Grain, she’ll order it in & do the swap. Fingers crossed.

Both are beautiful. My Merlot actually is fairly smooth and doesn’t have that much grain to it.
