Got my Merlot today! Genuine Full Grain Leather. I have two Brooklyns - honey and beige - that are stamped Natural, and the leather feels and looks exactly the same.

Just got the 28, in the dark stone. It’s too close in color to my Dior Toujours so it’s going back. The good thing is now it’s know the 28 is the perfect size for me and that the 35 or 40 would have been too big. I heard someone say that the 28 is like Goldilocks, not too small like the 26 and not too big like the 35. Now I’m waiting for the 34 and the other 28 I’ve ordered in the honey brown.
This is so interesting! I had no idea there were differences in the leather. I just checked and my 48 in Merlot says "Genuine Full Grain Leather" and my 40 in Honey says "Natural Full Grain Leather". They are both beautiful bags!
My 34 is here! It’s absolutely gorgeous in the honey brown and I’m thinking I may cancel my 28 that’s coming in a couple of weeks.
My thing is maybe I exchange for maple? I have a swing in Maple but I hardly use because it’s too small for everyday. I already have a Prada in the nylon tan and an MG hobo in caramello. Thoughts?

Question for your decision: if you swap it for the maple, would you then keep the 28 in honey brown? Or is that gonna be canceled regardless of which color you pick? I’m thinking if you’ll only have the 34, then pick based on which 34 color you’d rather reach for consistently. If that’s honey brown, then go with it. If it’s maple but you’ll still have the honey brown on your mind, then maybe the honey 28 will scratch that itch.
My favorite 34 color is the maple and that’s the color I originally got. But I have a vintage East West bag in a dark brown that feels sort of similar in spirit to the 34 that, once they were next to each other, I knew I’d be annoyed deciding which to reach for. So I ended up swapping the maple 34 for a black and am happy with the choice.
Stores in Ontario have the honey and black soft empire 28 and the SA said the website had sold out but it never hit the site that I saw and check daily.
So I was watching the TikkyTok and someone unboxed their soft 28 Honey from Amazon and it looks like it’s the Genuine Full Grain. It’s soooo gorgeous though, my delivery isn’t scheduled until next week, cannot wait to see it.
To throw a wrench in the works, I have the original ( not soft) 28 and it says ORIGINAL GLOVETANNED LEATHER.😁. I don't care though, still love the bag!
Too many variations of the bag, Coach is killing us trying to figure it out. 🤣🤣🤣

I’ve decided to keep the 34 in honey brown because it’s such a great color and different than my other tan bags. I’ll post a pic when I get home. I’m glad you’re happy with the black. My friend has the black also and it looks so classic. I also cancelled the 28 in the honey because I’ve now set my sights on waiting for the 21 whenever it comes in
