It was still the same price, but a lot of the stores recently got small shipments of all the colors in size 40. My store received 8 Merlot 40s! They said they were only allowing them to be picked up in store though, no shipping or pay links. I was shocked they had another one left for me to exchange for
Oh wow, it’s gorgeous congrats! I think it might be the lighting. When I was looking at this blue at the boutique, the burnishing was more noticeable depending on where the light hit it. I wanted both the blue and the Merlot, but I’m going to go broke getting all these colors lol
Thank you! The sa did say that this new batch seems to be less burnished because I think the crafters are just trying to push them out the door.
I did ask them if they got any new merlot since you mentioned that your location did and this store just reopened after renovations and installation of the cafe but they didn’t. Whomp whomp. My husband asked if I would swap if they did. Im

It’s funny you mentioned that, because I originally ordered blue, but when I found out my store had Merlot I swapped.
I noticed the quality on the Merlot wasn’t quite as good as my black 48, even after swapping it out for another, the stitching and a few other details aren’t the same. I’m just being nit picky, but my 48 is literally pristine.
Maybe because it’s such an in demand color, the Merlots were pushed out the door even faster lol. When I was looking at the Blue I didn’t notice any stitching irregularities or anything. Sometimes it’s better to go with your first instinct. The Merlot is beautiful, but so is the blue! It’s also hard finding a nice blue bag. Red/burgundy was all over the place this past Fall.
Dangit! I just ordered it to see if I like it better than the navy. LOL.

I was tempted to order it just because it was there! I reordered the black yesterday and think I will be satisfied with the empire in black.

Black is classic! It's my favorite out of all of them. I feel like it will age really well. I'm not sure how well artificial burnishing will wear. You can't go wrong with any of them though, I wish I could have all the colors lol. What's weird is the restock showed 7 bags when I checked earlier, but they were all located in Southern California coach stores. I wonder if a larger online warehouse restock will come out again later?

The stitching was perfect but when I took it outside to see if I could see any burnishing. I didn't see any burnishing but I did see two hazy white spots. One the size of a quarter and then one the size of a button like some sort of product had dripped one it or something. Not sure if the color just didn't absorb in those spots but it made the decision to take it back easier. We'll see if it's instant love when I get the merlot. My husband asked what if it's not? Back to the drawing board? Who knows. Ha. 😂
