Especially 20-something women...Coach, in general, is not a cool brand to that demographic. The young 20-somethings fashion forward women I work with do not carry Coach. They carry Celine or Balenciaga...or completely unknown, nameless brands.

I agree. I receive the PCEs all the time; however, I don't buy Coach often. I buy most of my handbags from Barneys. In regards to LV; LV is definitely going downhill and they don't hold their value. I have sold quite of LVs to Yoogis Closet and you will be surprised how much is offered for your bags. If you look on the market, you can find dozens of LV bags being sold to resell shops that have been marked down substantially. I kept the more classic styles such as my Epi Speedys and Speedy 40 but fashionistas are falling out of love with LV.
I actually made a little money off of my Celine Luggage tote. I bought the bag before it was the "it bag". It depends on timing. Have you ever wondered why so many Chanels and Hermes bags are easy to buy resell now unlike before
? Nothing material holds their value. Just wear the bag and enjoy it. The trend on the street now is minimum effort bags (i.e. The Row; Bottega Veneta, Some of Phillip Lim's Bags; Valextra). A clean slate; more classic, clean, and understated fashion. This type of trend is not really a trend but a way where the most fashion forward, stylish (really stylish without pretentiousness); shine. These fashion forward people know their bodies, their style, and buy what they like and it shows.I am on a tangent. I am a people watcher and from what I have found; 80% of the people are followers. They go for the same look: Big hair, red bottoms, short dress, Chanel or Hermes bag of choice, Cartier Bracelet, Hermes Bracelet and etc. The same kind of look. You have the 20% that likes what they like whether it is wearing a Coach bag with an Hermes Belt and some $5 bracelets. No matter what, they are put together. Now that is rare.

I am 40 and I carry the Balenciaga Giant Black Work Bag with gold studs; I also wear Rick Owens, Vince, Rag and Bone, Ann Demeulemeester and Ann Taylor. LOL
Hmm I guess that's why my PCEs stopped too--I've aged out!
All you have to do is look at the new Fall line and read what the new designer says to know that Coach is looking to become more trendy, young and hip!

I'm WAAAAAAY out of the 20 something age range and I get PCEs. And, my SA takes good care of me when it comes to FP purchases. Please help me understand where Coach is finding out our ages and what we look like? I don't recall ever providing my DOB to Coach.
Whoa, girl, I was SUPPORTING you. The SA was stupid and rude, not you! Her position was incorrect.
CORRECT!! I confused the OP with Coachgirl, was trying to say the SA was at fault. Sheesh. Epic post fail. Got mad at the SA for being so dumb and rude and didn't read the posters clearly. So sorry!
Well all I know is if ever the day comes when any SA tells me I'm not going to get discounts or coupons or won't like their bags....whatever....because I'm too old and/or not the correct weight is the day they can kiss my old backside good bye as I'm leaving!!! Lol!
lizmill-The SA sounds clueless and tactless to me. I think she put two separate pieces of info together and made an erroneous assumption.

Okay I don't know how Coach goes about deciding who gets a PCE but it seems to me that it's totally random. I also have seen no correlation between my buying patterns & the amounts of PCE's I get.. sometimes I won't get a single PCE for 1+ years and then I'll get one every time they have them.
