I'm so glad your friend loves the tiny! You definitely gave me an idea to look around Ebay - especially Japan - for a tiny Falabella. I can't wait to see it! Wow 3 days from Japan!

I admit I had to look up your Belstaff bag - never heard of it either. There are some incredible deals out there if you know how to authenticate your own bags and I've gotten a few great deals but for the most part I find people tend to overprice their bags. I can't believe you found a mini for $200. My first Falabella 3 chain was second hand in pristine condition. At the time, I didn't know if I would love the bag and wasn't willing to pay full price for it. I think I got it for about half the price of retail.

The Fendi Zucca baguette is exactly the one I want...the classic. I have been to the Fendi boutique to try it on. Love it! I'm not a person against logos. I might try to see what is in the second hand market.

I tried selling through a couple of the big second-hand sites but I find the amount they offer is much lower than what I can get directly. It is obviously harder to sell directly but you can mostly tell who is serious and who isn't.

And what a great sister you are! Your sister is pretty lucky to get such lovely LV gifts.
I just did a quick search for a tiny on eBay and was disgusted by the amount of “new” fakes coming out of Japan now! They’re making a liar out of me! There are still some nice ones though. And they have a hot pink tiny! I’m attaching the link. And I’m not sure if you’d like a couple others I found.
As for the baguette you can definitely find a tobacco Zucca for less than the boutique. Even on Poshmark and Mercari you can find hidden gems. But some people try to sell bags that should be tossed. What size Zucca do you want? Mine are the mama size but they make a smaller version. I have the zucca and 2 zucchinos. I’ll keep an eye out for you.
Most Belstaff bags aren’t known for being aesthetically pleasing but highly durable. It was odd that Saks was selling this one. But I’ll find a picture of it and show you.

Here’s a couple tinys I think are nice based on what you sent me pics of.

Just suggestions based on what you seemed to like.

My Belstaff I sold on Poshmark…

If you’re on Poshmark my username is Jessteach. You can see my shopping addiction first hand based on my closet. I’m also a David Yurman collector. I mostly buy bracelets but have quite a few rings and a few necklaces too.

Hi! I don’t mean to intrude but do not use any cleaning products on the chains ⛓️!! 😳 I have never had one with gold chains long enough to tell if they tarnish but the silver chains can tarnish and once that happens there’s nothing you can do about it. They turn a brassy color especially where you hold the bag the most. I’ve bought and sold a lot of Falabellas and only had that happen once so I wouldn’t worry too much. It’s not the worst thing in the world but a little annoying. Hope this helps…
Yes! Sorry if that wasn't clear from what I wrote. Keep cleaning products and even water away from the chain. Microfiber cloth and warm water should do the trick on the material quite often.

Hi Korat! Thank you for the info and the tip. You stated chain is brass. So does that mean if it starts to tarnish I can use Brasso brass cleaner to shine it up, or does the brass chain have gold plating therefore Brasso should be avoided? I just want clarification so I don’t care for it improperly. Yes this gold chain is STUNNING! It really makes the bag pop against the navy. I will be careful with my greasy lotioned hands! Lol. I just had a thought, instead of folding the bag how about neatly rolling it and storing it in its dusbag? My thought is I won't get much wrinkles even though they fall out. I would like to save space as I have way too many bags that I need! Lol. I have another Stella arriving today. Smh. It was suppose to arrive yesterday but it was delayed. Lol. I'll post up pics tomorrow. Thanks again!
Hey there, if you look up their website, they do state the materials they use, and for the most it is brass for the chain. There is a plating, which I assume is ruthenium, so I would def. skip the brass polish.
Edit: I guess rolling it up with bubblewrap should be fine, but I would go with the stacking on top of one another, maybe with a bit of padding as they are quite heavy.

Here are pics of the comparisons between the navy with gold hardware and black with black hardware. If either bag fake? I hope not
Hi Debbie, my two cents on it:
- The black Falabella seems to have an older charm, that is more typical of older models, back to 2013-14. What is strange to me is to see a logo like that on a 2018 bag. There were models with gunmetal (darkened) chain, that should be fine, but somehow the chain looks a bit strange to me too. This one I think has the chance to be a fake, especially because of the charm.
- I am also curious, and I took out the 5 Falabellas I have on me at the moment. All of the charms are stamped on both sides (they are all different ages and models, but I don't have the older one your black has). I found one example online of that older type of charm, but that is also stamped on the back.
I have also not seen a dustbag that is that white, so that's also suspicious, if the claim is that it came with the bag.
I would still recommend to spend 5 dollars with Authentic Detective or 15 with Legitgrails, to make sure on both bags.
- The blue Falabella does not look sus to me at all.

Edit: I also kind of missed the conversation here on this page. Just want to emphasize, that I am not an authenticator, so your black Falabella could still be completely legit. Again, I would highly recommend the authenticator service too, it is peanuts for a peace of mind.

My black chained crossbody has a charm that is only stamped on one side. The face of the charm that has the stamping is also black and not silver. This bag is 100% authentic since I bought it at the Stella boutique. Not all charms are stamped on both sides.

The black on black foldover is authentic. But if one is going to pick at it this much and go over it with a fine tooth comb, it is better to return it and buy from the store. Stella fakes are VERY obvious. This bag is authentic. Furthermore, Fashionphile, jteach and I have all agreed it's authentic. If this bag is fake, then it is such a great fake that nobody can detect it. That is unlikely.

Nevertheless, pay more for peace of mind - either pay another authenticator or just buy from a store/boutique. Stellas do go on sale and you can get a decent deal for a brand new one.

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I am pretty picky about my Stellas and I do tend to like them new or pristine condition. If that ever popped up, I'd consider it but I tend to prefer sales at boutiques/stores at the moment. I like paying a bit extra in order to get a new bag.

For the Zucca I want the small one but as I said I'm pretty picky about the "new" factor. If I can't find one in great condition, I might get it from the store for Christmas.

I completely understand. One of my friends will only buy new bags. She’s gotten some good deals at the SM boutique too. She bought a navy mini and ruthenium foldover for about half off each one. I love when I find a preowned one with stiff lining because I know it hasn’t been used much. Sometimes it’s hard to tell until you get them in person. Most Japanese sellers have decent return policies so it’s pretty risk free as long as you can find a DHL store to return it. They usually pay the return shipping too. I’ve returned a few that weren’t up to par.
When the black chain Falabellas came out wasn’t it around 2018? I had the foldover and the thick chained small tote. Do you remember that one? I ended up selling them both so I probably have pics of the date codes somewhere in my photos. There was an all black mini on Real Real for $95! It was definitely a mistake but I wish I saw it first! That rarely happens!
The smaller baguettes are a little more more expensive than the mama ones for some reason. I hope you get one for Christmas 🎄!! You’ll definitely love it!

I was just thinking if I’ve bought new Falabellas and I just remembered I used to get them on Farfetch! They would have some great sales around Black Friday.
Im bummed because now my hot pink mini isn’t coming until tomorrow! 😕 It’s been sitting in NJ for 2 days and I’m in NY just outside the city so it makes no sense. But this time I just saw they used Fedex not DHL. I hope it’s in great condition otherwise it’s going back. I had a brand new hot pink mini I sold a few years back. This is my crazy bag cycle!

Yes, Farfetch will have good sales. Good luck on the pink mini...fingers crossed that it works out!!! I'm not so much in the crazy cycle as I used to be. When I get the itch for another bag, I usually tell myself to look first in my closet - usually there is something very similar to it. The outrageous prices of many designers bags are also a good cooling factor.

Hello Korat. Thank you for taking time to respond. Your info is very helpful to me. With you currently having 5 Falabellas I'm sure you have enough experience to know what's the norm for what year which sounds like you have. I returned the bag already and got another. There was just too many differences but not just that, the Shaggy Deer fabric and the lining was thin too. The list goes on. Lol I like the one I have now. Thanks again!

Hi Jess! My friend who actually bought the first Falabella I ever sold many years ago just bought a tiny and loves it. She said it fits a card holder, keys and phone and they’re really lightweight. The crystal mesh bags are pretty cool. Might be a tad small for me but I like the texture on the bag. It probably really shimmers at night. I’m a sucker for either hot pink or pinkish beige bags. So I love the hot pink tiny! My hot pink mini is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. It was just mailed from Japan 3 days ago. DHL is seriously fast. I’m in the US, but know people from all over post here. Hopefully it’s in great condition once I have it but for the price it was worth it. I wanted it for summer but who knows I’ll probably try it out beforehand. I’ve been pretty lucky with preowned Falabellas as they’ve all been pretty spotless. But I’m picky when looking. A lot of people find them too heavy and rarely use them so then you can get lucky. But I totally understand being impulsive too. I impulsively bought a Belstaff bag at Saks with silver hardware all over it. I paid a lot and then learned not many people have ever heard of Belstaff so I sold it for a small fraction of what I paid. After that I mostly buy preowned which is what prompted me to learn as much as possible about authentic Falabellas. I can also authenticate most older Balenciaga, Valentino and Fendi. I have to learn because when I get into a bag I never buy just one. I go overboard. That’s why I’m always buying and selling. It’s definitely an addiction!

The resurgence of the late 90s and Y2K Fendi baguettes is crazy. Fashionphile and Rebag are selling these bags for over a thousand for a 20+ year old bag. Gotta love sustainability! Fortunately all the ones I found were still relatively clean and in good condition. They are quality bags so they last. I highly recommend you getting a tobacco baguette as it’s such a classic bag.

My sister loves LV but doesn’t treat herself so I bought her 3 MM neverfulls and a logo crossbody bag. I really liked the crossbody so I bought myself the same one. Now that’s my only LV since my speedys are gone.
Since you also buy and sell have you ever sold to Fashionphile or Rebag? I used to do well with them but now their quotes have been much lower despite their prices being relatively higher. But sometimes it’s worth it just to not have to deal with annoying buyers. Plus they pay for shipping it to them. It’s amazing that despite how many bags I have I still find another one I must have!! Everyone has their vices!! Could be worse!
I’ll post pics of the mini tomorrow! 😀

Has anyone put bag inserts in their Falabellas? I like the look when they are full and thought it might protect the lining 🥰
I've never put a bag insert because you can see the outlines of any sharp edges on the outside of the bag. I think it ruins the look. I have put some scarves or other soft padding to fill it out and give it a better look. You don't need to protect the lining. It's quite durable and stain-resistant. I don't have one stain in any of my Falabellas.
