Has anyone put bag inserts in their Falabellas? I like the look when they are full and thought it might protect the lining 🥰

I always stuff my Falabellas with bubble wrap or tissue paper especially in the bottom corners so the chains don’t get warped or bent. I’ve sold a lot of Falabellas to Fashionphile in the past and they always mention if a bag has that. I forget what they call it. So if you’re concerned about keeping it in the best condition I recommend doing that and storing it in any dust bag. It doesn’t have to be a SM dust bag. That’s just what I do. Hope it helps!

I've never put a bag insert because you can see the outlines of any sharp edges on the outside of the bag. I think it ruins the look. I have put some scarves or other soft padding to fill it out and give it a better look. You don't need to protect the lining. It's quite durable and stain-resistant. I don't have one stain in any of my Falabellas.

Fashionphile calls it pitted when the chains look like this. Definitely stuff your bags before storing like Jess said too…

Yes, Farfetch will have good sales. Good luck on the pink mini...fingers crossed that it works out!!! I'm not so much in the crazy cycle as I used to be. When I get the itch for another bag, I usually tell myself to look first in my closet - usually there is something very similar to it. The outrageous prices of many designers bags are also a good cooling factor.

Hi! You’re absolutely right about checking in my closet before buying more bags. I guess I’ve justified my spending by selling some bags here and there. But now I regret some of the bags I’ve sold.
My pink mini came and it’s not up to par with how my others are. It’s definitely been used way too much so it’s going back to Japan. Honestly I don’t need it. I already have 2 minis, 2 small totes and one black foldover that is in like new condition that I got for pretty cheap. I already have a hot pink small tote. I’ve checked many sites for a better one and there’s absolutely no hot pink minis for sale. I’m in no rush so in time if it’s meant to be I’ll find a better one.
Farfetch used to have really good sales a few years back. Plus they have the best return policy because DHL comes to your house to pick up your returns! I did buy several Falabellas and a couple card holders during one of their sales. I’m also going to check the SM website to see which colors are marked down. With Black Friday around the corner there might be some deals coming up. But I still recommend getting the Zucca baguette! They’re great bags!

Hi! I don’t know the exact dates of when SM changed the lining from green to pink. For awhile i used to see new Falabellas being sold in either color lining. All Falabellas are made from vegan materials whether it’s shaggy deer or a faux leather. The shaggy deer is much more popular than faux leather bags in the Falabellas. The white tag inside should have the date code on it but from what you wrote it’s not there. What exactly are you trying to find out? The year of your bag? If you want to post pictures of it I can try to give you more accurate information. This forum is mainly for authentication of SM bags. But I’m happy to try and help you answer other questions too. I’ve bought and sold many Falabellas over the years and I’m going to say SM switched to the pink logo lining by around 2016. I’ve had both color linings. I hope this is somewhat helpful. If you’re unsure if it’s authentic then definitely post pics of it and we can take a look.

The lining color was never pale green - it was beige. Some bags also had a black interior. The bag came out in Winter 2010. I'm not sure either when it changed to pink but it has been a long time - at least since 2015.

The tag will feature three rows of numbers which refer to style number, embellishments and fabrication, and season.

Hi Jess! Very cute Zucca Fendi. I’m actually not familiar with this style and it seems more like a pouch than baguette. I’ve definitely seen them with the chain strap but not with a leather one too. All of my baguettes just have leather straps. This looks like a newer bag. My guess would be preowned it would probably go for $600-$800. Be careful with the authenticity of baguettes. They’re definitely trickier to authenticate than SM. My friend has bought a couple with serial numbers and the F on the back of the zipper that were apparently fakes. I would stick to reputable sellers for it.
Last night I actually found my pristine hot pink mini on Poshmark for $300 total. The seller said it’s NWOT and the pics look great so I’m pretty excited to have found one. Now I have to mail the flimsy piece of crap back to Japan and I used a seller that didn’t say free shipping and returns. Ugh, Yes that gray foldover was an amazing deal! So happy for her! I love the gray and have it in the small tote and card holder.
I just submitted my pink small tote and black foldover to Fashionphile for quotes. I doubt they’ll pay much but I don’t need 2 hot pink bags. Both are spotless but my black foldover definitely wasn’t used much so I probably should hold on to it. It is a classic bag and my first designer bag ever so it’s also nostalgic. No worries there...when it comes to second hand, I don't buy unless I'm 100% certain.

$300 is a great price for a new bag. And you found it so quickly! As for the bag destined back for Japan, at least you can get your money back. The black foldover is a classic...I sold mine - twice - (bought one and sold it then bought another and sold it again). Regrets.

Regrettably, I'm not a fan of Balenciaga. I bought the city once a long time ago in black but it looked like a garbage bag to me - shiny and cracked. I'm sorry for describing it that way. I couldn't get that image out of my mind so I returned it. The only Balenciagas I liked were the more structured ones with the metal decorations - the metallic edge (see pic). I don't think they make those anymore.

Just trying to know a little more about the evolution of the bag, and maybe find out if it changes the retail price what so ever (being older models).

What I was saying is that newer models also have changed the Stella McCartney pocket engraving material (mine is the same material of the bag). Just curious about the year of mine but I believe is legit, at least I hope.

Can I also ask advice on cleaning the chains minor scratches with something? Can I improve the look ? Or scratches are just inevitable on these chains?
