Hi girls!

I would really appreciate your help to authenticate this Alexander Wang Brenda bag. I actually bought it in a Danish website (without receive), where fakes aren't allowed. Half a year after I bought it, I wanted to sell it again, because I had found another bag I'd rather have. Then I tried to sell it on the same Danish site where I bought and suddenly someone started informing me about that my bag was fake… Then I contacted the girl who originally sold it to me, but now she wants docomentation for that it's fake. Anyway, I actually just want you, to look at this bag, and tell me if it's fake...

I didn't know where to put the pictures, so I just posted it on my unknown foodblog. Weird place, I know.

As you can see on the picture, the chains are starting to get a little red?

Thank you!

I've never seen an AW interior badge shaped like that. Post a photo of the interior piping and made in China tag(found inside piping).

They need to stop authenticating brands they are not experts in.

I can't post the details of what I see wrong with your Diego on this open forum, but I will post one clue.
I would say close to half of the Alexander Wang replica bags I examine have an interior badge that could easily fool me, this is not the case with your Diego.

Thanks for your information - which you provided us with. As advised we do not authenticate Alexander Wang - we don't list it on our website. As our client is a long-standing client - we out-sourced this authentication with a company whom we have known for a number of years. They have a team of authenticators, and whilst this is not something we would normally do - we did in this instance in good faith. Their authenticator deemed the item authentic, and therefore we accepted that and reverted to our client.

Clearly the authenticator in question is NOT an Alexander Wang expert as we were led to believe and we have of course taken this on the chin. We DO NOT and NEVER will authenticate a Brand which we do not know - i.e., 'guesstimate' but we were assured that this was authentic.

We will NEVER outsource an authentication again, and we have been in contact with the company concerned and advised them that they should ensure that if they state they have an expert - that the person is an expert. Our relationship with the company has now ceased.

Should anyone need further information - we are, of course, more than happy to provide this.

I personally have used Authenticate4U and was very pleased with the level of service.

Hi,

I have recently purchased my first pre-loved Rocco :yahoo: Everything is in check, interior piping MIC tag, Badge etc. However the brass hardware has an awful odour coming from it, like old pennies. Is this normal?? The seller said she stored it for a while in the dustbag & hasnt been using it. The bag is about 3 years old.

Thanks x

In my experience, no. Can you post a photo of the hardware?

I have noticed the hardware is discoloured at the clip also. The seller assures me this is authentic, it is well loved and about 3 years old it just hasnt been used of late & been in storage. I really hope this is the truth. I am starting to worry about the smell.

I can't see the entire bag, but I can tell you the clip is not authentic AW.
Post photos of the interior badge, made in China tag, and a photo with a full view of the bag.

I'm sorry, but this bag is fake:tdown:
Did you purchase this through eBay? I would encourage you to contact the seller first, and ask for a refund before you open any claims. Give the seller a chance to make it right, but if she/he will not refund, you will need to open a claim through eBay or PayPal.

oh dear  Yes I purchased this through ebay. Silly me, I should have known better. Thank you for all your help, I shall contact the seller now & update you on what happens. I really should stick by the rule if it/s too good to be true it probably is. Thank you again.
