I mean you could be right on the font since it changed when the artistic director of the brand changed but I think they've stopped producing minie rockie before december 2019... So I wouldn't take a chance on this bag even tho im not 100% sure.

I purchased a new one from the vault archive on the official website a week ago and it came today and the caps are not this way. So is it because it is archive and old models ?also the dustbag it came in was not the same as yours and im not sure they would have 2 different types of dustbags ?

I’m thinking the same thing. There is a girl on Poshmark who is selling this same bag and hers has a white hang tag like this one, she says she purchased from shopbop I believe, but hers is the only other one I’ve ever seen to have the white tag as I do. I’ve also never seen a mini rockie with lowercase writing but I’m not sure if it’s because the font since then has changed, now that most AW items have lowercase font. I’m on the fence but don’t want to risk it I think it looks fake, but it came with a receipt from online apparently? If I’m being honest the paper feels flimsy

Also, the zipper looks different then other mini Rockies. There’s are normally more tapered like little arrows almost, this one has block like zippers. I guess I’m confused as to is this a new version of the mini rockie with some updates, like the font and zippers, or is this just a knock off? I don’t want to risk it

Hey all! I'm new here and looking for a little guidance. I recently bought this 'New' Rocco and am questioning its authenticity. Mainly because I've never felt a NEW NEW Rocco bag before (my old dead one was also secondhand when I bought it). The leather is VERY stiff, and sort of shiny. I was under the impression that the bubble leather bags were lambskin? Like my other Rocco there is no content tag, but the Made In China tag is there. The piping is also different on this one (looks like edgecoat, not piping). Was this changed at some point? Anyone else's Rocco's super stiff when new? Hehe. Any help would be appreciated. I'm feeling duped.

The piping changed @ 2012...and so did the leather. I agree with you, the older bags had the best leather...it would just puddle. The new bags have a breaking-in period and the new piping keeps it from puddling. I don't see any red flags on your Rocco.
