Hi ladies I'd be interested to know your views on this one please :)
I've just used my black Del Rey for maybe the 6th time since buying her & have noticed some strange scuffs on the nickel hardware. On close inspection it's from where the ( not sure of its name... Cloche or clochette ? ) hangs down & swings back & forth on the hardware during use. There is a sharp bit of stitching that has rubbed against it & as a results has left faint but visible ( to me at least ) scratches.
What should I do ?
I'm considering smoothing the sharp stitch to prevent further scratching or should I go back to Mulberry to ask the to do it & maybe change the postmans lock also ? Please tell me if I'm being too fussy !
Thanks in advance :)

Hi all

I have a black mark on the back of my soft matte deer brown Somerset, despite it being thoroughly collonilled.

Any tips on how to remove the mark? The care card just mentions the collonil spray, so I am a bit wary about using the gel or the furniture clinic cream

Hi guys, I've bought a Bayswater off ebay and it is a Special Purchase/outlet stock 'Powder beige' with rose gold hardwear. It's not in the Maxi grain, and as I havent seen it properly yet im not entirely sure how to treat it. The photograph of the care card says 'A596 Soft Matte'. Does anyone know the exact leather type it is and how best to treat it? The care card says 'avoid heavy rainfall', but my mitzy in tan oak pebbled leather said something similar and ive had no problems, but with it being a lighter colour im abit worried :s

Also, it has a few small areas that seem to be worn on the edges of the base. Any ideas about reviving these?

Sorry for the long post! Would greatly appreciate any advice!

Claire

I've had my mulberry bayswater (conker) for about a year and it's beginning to lose shape - help! Can anyone recommend a good leather protector, polish or way of helping this bag get back into shape?

Thanks! ImageUploadedByPurseForum1370706529.538601.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1370706550.068199.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1370706568.549725.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1370706607.201626.jpg

Thanks!

Anyone know what different leathers the east west bayswater has been made in. I bought one off eBay, an early one, its been authenticated but the leather is different to Darwin or NVT. It is quite structured and slightly shiny, though not patent. I sprayed it with collonil and it seemed sticky afterwards so not sure how to treat it either. Any ideas?

Sounds like a couple if mine I sprayed that felt a bit tacky after treatment, they were softy spongy and high shine pebble. Not sure if that's any help, but the stickiness did wear off after a few wears. X

My kitten knocked down my glass of cranberry juice all over my Alexa ImageUploadedByPurseForum1372225728.373196.jpg

I was able to get it to this point with corn starch

Any advice :(? It's brand new

Oh no!! Have you tried leather cleaner?? Since you are in the US, you can get hold of Apple leather care kit easily I guess, I heard very good review about it. Hope something can be done - but it's back of the bag & being on red, it won't be end of the world - good luck & cheer up :balloon:

Once you've cleaned it, treat it with the recommended Collonil Waterstop - you can buy this on ebay, plenty of UK based sellers will ship overseas, also available on Amazon. It will help portect against future kitty mishaps.....:smile1:

Thanks. Someone said it might be shiny buffalo but I'm not sure. It seemed ok after a while like you said.
