Hello all, can anything be done for a bent side on a congo bayswater? I think the piping has bent when it has been it has been stored (not by me!) One side is ok and so it has a bit of a lopsided appearance that's driving me mad........
Would just usage sort it out maybe?

Hi, picked this thread up again. I have seen somewhere but now can't find it - what do I use to nourish an oak darwin bag? Is there a collonil product I can use? (have not seen wooly neutra in the shops here).
I dug out my old darwin Jacquetta from the drawer to have a look - she does not get many outings but I admire her from time to time. This time I thought she looked as if some nutrition was needed - any suggestions would be much appreciated!

My black bays has alwasy had a kind of kink in its side and it used to drive me mad....but it is so soft (NVT) compareid to my oak one (darwin) that i kind of put up wtih it now...it is fine when filled. i tend to keep boxes (shoe or DVD collections) in my bags now to keep their shape so as not to make it worse.

The Collonil leather gel in a glass pot works well on oak bags....it is on the web site...it is actually a cream but is called a gel. i would recommend that - gentle but good.

What I also use and like is a cream from Saphir called Canadian for smooth leather, available at shoe repair shops. Cost about 7 euro and works real well.

Hi everyone - I've been avidly reading your posts and think its a great site but its the first time I've actually posted here - so would like to say hello :D

Also, I wondered if anyone can advise how to keep canvas straps clean. I'm awaiting delivery of a Choc Darwin Leather Euston Handbag and would like to protect the bag with Collonil waterstop but I'm not sure whether its ok to spray the canvas straps as well. I'd like to keep the straps as clean as possible, so if its ok to use I may do the shoulder strap as well.

Thanks very much...

Kaz

I think it will be safe to use the spray on the canvas too. I don't have Collonil myself, but on the cans of other brands of protective sprays it usually says that it is for leather and textiles.
