Good to know. At one time all the zippers and handles and such, were wrapped in tissue. Now they are wrapping them in plastic as well. Do you work at the headquarters in what city? They manufacture these bags from all over the world. I wonder if they do it different depending which country they come from, as well??

Not everywhere. My wallets that I bought of Zalando, and my Selma from the MK flag store came with tissue on all zippers and so on. The plastic was limited to the plasticbag surronding the Selma.

Yes, Norgy, that is exactly what I have been trying to say. Some here are confusing the whole bag being in a plastic bag, as what we are referring to when we are actually talking about how the zippers, handles and hardware are wrapped, not the whole bag. We been going round and round about this for 3 months! lol!

if a michael kors have a defects what is the procedure of return or do they have warranty? and is it international that any mk shops will accept?

Did you buy your MK directly from them or from a retailer? If you bought it from a retailer, you may need to return it to where you bought it & have them replace or repair it.

I just experienced another one of these ignorant people that harasses sellers with these false rumors! It is SO irritating and makes it so hard to sell deigner bas when you have to deal with this sort of thing!

I have a bag listed on the Mercari site and it is a Michael Kors. On this site you can comment, much like Poshmark., and some freak gets on there and posts "Made in China is NOT authentic" WHAT!!?? Can you believe this?? So I gave her the 800 number to call MK and ask them herself and then come back and apologize to me! I am waiting. Uhg..Not enough people are finding this tread. I am going to put it on my facebook page! So tired of this. Makes it really hard for honest sellers.

I doubt you'll get an apology. People like that are convinced they know more than anyone else.
Guess what? She did call them and found out she was wrong and she did apologize! I am shocked! I think I handled it right by having her get it from the horses mouth, but these people need to learn what they are speaking about! I wouldn't doubt if she had reported my listing! Is so HARD to sell designer handbags anymore. As you know, I took a break from it for awhile because of these people driving me nuts. The very first day I list something again and BINGO!! It happens again! Uhg :cursing:

WOW!! I'm really surprised she apologized. You did the right thing by having her call MK & hearing it from them. The problem is most of these buyers do not do any research for themselves to learn about designers & their products. They will "hear" something & will accept it as gospel instead of checking it out for themselves. Sorry you're having problems again after taking a break but you're not alone. I've been reading on the Ebay forum that a lot of sellers are having the same problems & are thinking about getting out & selling elsewhere.

It doesn't matter CD, these people are everywhere! This happened on a different site other than ebay. Seems like I run into them everywhere. Oh well, at she learned something last night, which is that she doesn't know SQAT!! lol!

I have a small Margo ostrich leather messenger. I bought it at Macy's but it does Not have the authenticity tag like my larger bags. I would assume Macy's would not sell fakes. Just need to know if should be there. Thanks ladies

Yes, it should be there. I think you are just not seeing it. It is very small and can be hard to find. Look on the left seam of the lining. It can get lost in the folds. It should be there. You are correct that Macy's does not sell fakes although we have found they are getting bags with mistakes on them. One lady got a bag from them that didn't even have the leather label / heat stamp! This is UN ACCEPTABLE!! If you can't find that tag, I would exchange it for one that has one. You will never be able to sell it in the future without that tag, no one will believe it is authentic. It devalues the bag. I would not accept this.
