Cool! Welcome Irene - wow, your collection is going to be the ultimate Holy Grail soon. You've picked two of my favourite colours - apple and vert gazon (try calling it grass green for the sa's). VG should still be available since its a current season colour, but for apple you'll probably have to scour ebay. If you want it in a first there's a good one on ebay from a reliable seller right now, but they pop up from time to time. Good luck - I can't wait to see what you get. :D

I've got a CITY and a FIRST... I find that I use my CITY everyday or my TWIGGY... My tend to carry alot of stuff with me for some unknown reason! I tend to use my FIRST when its the weekend or if I'm going somewhere that doesnt require my entire life.
Over time I've found that my handles on my CITY have stretched a tad and it finds on my shoulder nicely when its not packed! The shoulder strap on both the bags are quite handy if you need to keep your hands free. But bare in mind that sometimes the strap does slip! Some of the members haven taken off 'the thingy' and it fits/sits much better or the push 'the thingy' down to get it out of the way.
When you first get your NEW b-bag it might appear shiny/stiff etc... but OVER time it becomes so soft and buttery!!! Just the best leather :drool: ....

I totally agree! I love how the first looks, but I wish it was just a tad bigger.

I love all Balenciaga bags!! However, I am only little and I don't carry too much stuff on a normal day so I prefer the first. I also think it is a more attractive shape. I do have a couple of cities as well for when I need more stuff such as a magazine, etc and I opted for these in dark colours so that they look a little smaller too. I have also just bought 2 men's weekenders for travelling which I do alot of for work. They will probably swamp me but I don't care. At least they will look the part. :p

I use the First's for nights out and when I don't need to bring everything with me. I personally love the Box style better for a smaller bag that is small but not too small, but since it is discontinued and was only introduced F/W 05, I have bought a couple of Firsts. Here is a picture of them together.....

LOL - this is quite typical for balenciaga I think. There's just so much variety in styles AND colour that it really makes it difficult to pick just one.

I LOVE the first style as it's slouchy yet still has some structure. If you put an unfilled city down it'll just completely slouch into a pool.

I normally use the first on a a more regular basis and bring it to work. It carries my wallet, koala agenda, 6key case, Nintendo DS, cosmetics, phone. So basically all my essentials. Today I'm using a city as I had to carry a LV scarf box in it and a book and sunglasses. I'll also tote it around if I need to carry a bottle of water. I think inevitably if you fall in love with Balenciaga you'll end up with both.

The 'What's in your bbag?' thread may also be helpful in your decision too.

^^As Deana mentioned above, you might want to look for a Box style. They are discontinued now, but pop up from time to time on eBay. I can fit as much stuff in my Box as I can in my City, but it has that smaller boxy shape. It holds about as much stuff as my Speedy 25, but is easier to get into.

Otherwise, I say go with the City. I had a First for a while, but it was too small to hold all my daily stuff.

Can't wait to see pics of you rockin' your first Bbag!

I think, like most of the ladies have said, it really depends on what size you need and what your personal preferences are.:yes:

IMO, the First looks the best and is an excellent bag for going out, shopping etc. The City is a great size, the perfect every day bag. My personal favourite would have to be the 'Purse' style though, which looks like the First, can hold as much as the City, yet has longer handles and the zipper is 'normal' in length which is really something that bothers me a little every time I wear the City. I love them all though, so you can't go wrong!:love:

Glad you are getting a BBag, H_Addcit as I'm sure you will just love it! And I hope you find the style that you love and suits your needs best!:smile1::heart:

OMG!!! That is one of the cleanest, most vibrant, like new BG Pink City's I have ever seen. If you ever tire of her, please keep me in mind!!!! The Eggplant First is pretty darn beautiful as well!!!

Thank you! The BG City is indeed lovely. Her previous mamas took really good care of her!

Unfortunately, I don't have the Eggplant First any more...she was just too small, so she's gone on to a new home. But it's all good - with the proceeds from selling her, I was able to get my sister a plane ticket so she could come to my wedding. 1,000,000% worth it! :yahoo:

Welcome to the forum. Although I have to warn you though, joining this forum can make you crave for more and more bags. I have a city and first, and I prefer the city because it can carry more things than the first.

First, when I started with bbags I've had some first classiques - they are AMAZING, really ..... but with time they was too small for each day wearing! I changed to bigger sizes: city, purse and day ! These are my current bbag-style bags.
I wonder for which style and color you decide :heart:
