I just got my repair back from Santana Creative. I highly recommend them! They did a great job resoling and replacing the heel taps, and the customer service and turnaround time was outstanding.

Here's the price breakdown:
$12 - heel taps
$30 - red sole guards
$15 - leather tip (the pointed toe part of the sole was so worn down they had to add a leather tip)
$10 UPS shipping
___________
$67 - total

Yay...I will make the trip to Raleigh if need be. You made my night!!

Does anyone know of a reputable cobbler in Florida? I am usually nervous about cobblers because I have had some bad experiences. I would like one who is careful and does excellent work TIA:smile1:

^^ The above Cobbler is very good. I mailed my shoes UPS and had them back the next week and they are beautiful. Based on the recommendations here they are the only ones I tired and I am beyond pleased.

Does anyone know of a good cobbler in Hawaii? I did a search for Hawaii in this thread but nothing came up =(
I took some flats to a shoe repair place and had some brown vibrams soles put on them but I'm worried about taking it to the same place to have the red vibrams done. I just got a pair of leopard maggies and wanted to have the soles done because I was slipping around when I was walking on smooth surfaces.
Should I test it out with some old CLs? I would prefer having them done locally instead of having to ship out my shoes.
There are two Great Cobblers in Hawaii. One is Joe Pacific Shoe Repair and Kapalama Shoe Repair. Both are on Oahu.

I used the cobblers at the Florida Mall in Orlando, they were recommended by somebody here in this forum and I've been very pleased, so far, so good!

I have one pair of CLs that I have only worn a couple of times because they are slick on most floors and I found out I was pregnant soon after buying them. Should I get a rubber sole on them, or have them resoled? I don't live near any shopping, but I will be traveling to the Orlando area the week of the 18th and Atlanta at the end of the month. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where should I take them if this is the best option for me? They are the black Very Prives with red toe.

I have a broken heel on my red glitter Clichy that needs to be replaced. I sent them to the Leather Spa, and they 'fixed' the heel, but they broke again straight after (in the same spot). I think the heel needs to be replaced entirely. Where's the best place to send them? Will CL HQ be able to help?

I don't know if you got any responses, but for something that is pretty serious, I would send it to MM7 in Paris.

Hi! Does anyone have any suggestions for a Cobbler around Park City, Utah? The patent leather on my very prives got stuck in a grate and has pretty much curled up and almost completely off =( They need a cobbler who can handle patent repairs!

Thank you!!:p

Thanks for the response.

I tried MM7 a while ago and never got any response - tried two different email addresses, as well as Facebook. Is there any other way to reach them, or do they have updated contact details?

i've never actually used them, sorry - they're not the best as far as contact i've heard, but tPFers HAVE been able to get in touch with them with the info on this board as far as i've known.

i contacted them a year ago about something, but they were in the middle of one of their numerous vacations and i did get an automated response...
