Have any CL lovers in Vegas ever tried Shoe Lab? The Louboutin boutique referred me to them to get the Vibrams put on my new shoes, but I'm hesitant to shell out $50 without knowing if they'll keep my Pigalles pristine (I still haven't worn them!).

I have had shoelab repair a Balenciaga bag - they did an amazing job. I would def try them with CLs...

I dropped them off this afternoon, thanks so much for the advice! I'll post with pics if they end up doing a good job!

(ETA: Even though the guy quoted $50 on the phone, they tried to charge me $55 when I got to the store. I talked them into doing it for $50, plus I found a $10 off coupon on their website, so luckily the price ended up being pretty close to what others on this site have reported for getting Vibrams put on.)

let me know how it goes! I sometimes ship my stuff there from the east coast or drop it in the store when i'm in Vegas. Hope they turn out well! :D

Just got them back! Overall, I would say they did a very good job. The Chic soles do match the red very well, even if they're not super thin (they show a little bit on the bottom of the sole).

My only nitpick, and maybe it's just me, is that they went a bit higher up on the sole of the shoe than I would have wanted. The guy said they needed to do that or the soles "would peel right off," which seems a little dubious to me given that a lot of girls on TPF have gotten soles done and they seem to be a lot lower than these, but honestly I'm just trying to ignore it because I doubt anyone will ever notice but me lol

Hello...I need to re sole and clean in Dallas. I hear about Deno's but not perfect? I can't afford to have these XMas gifts destroyed. Anyone with photos? Or who has been recently? Thank you!

A friend of mine recently went to Dino's and her shoes looked terrible when she got them back. She asked that they redo the sole, and again they looked terrible - brownish glue oozing out all around, the rubber went very high into the arch. They ended up buying her a new pair (as she hadn't worn them yet). I've been going to The Cobbler at Preston and Royal, and they've done a fantastic job every time!! The prices are also lower than Dino's, and they use Vibram brand soles, where Dino's uses an off brand.

Does anyone know of a good cobbler in Hawaii? I did a search for Hawaii in this thread but nothing came up =(
I took some flats to a shoe repair place and had some brown vibrams soles put on them but I'm worried about taking it to the same place to have the red vibrams done. I just got a pair of leopard maggies and wanted to have the soles done because I was slipping around when I was walking on smooth surfaces.
Should I test it out with some old CLs? I would prefer having them done locally instead of having to ship out my shoes.

Hi yakusoku,

Hopefully somebody here has had experience with a cobbler in your area. But just in case nobody has had experience with anyone there, the best thing I can think of is going to a department store in your area or even another brand of shoes (Jimmy Choos, Guccis, etc....) that sells high-end goods and ask them who they send their customers' shoes to for repairs in the local area. I have done this before and the salespeople are kind enough to let me know. Good luck!

I take my shoes to the same place that my local LV sends their shoe repairs to. I mainly took my shoes in to get the heel tips replaced. And they did wonders repainting my black wooden Gucci heels. I might just take an older pair in and see how well it goes. If works out, I'll post the info here for anyone else in Hawaii.

I got a gorgeous miss rope satchel in taupe recently. But the clasp is now broken. It seems that the bottom half of the clasp needs replacing. I've asked the cl boutique in Sydney, and they say they can't help with the repaired because mine was bought overseas. What can I do? So sad :(

call the flagship store in France.

Send it to them and they'll fix it.

If it's something more easy to fix, you can always bring it to a cobbler. THey can often fix these clasp issues as well.

I was wondering what others usually pay to have red soles (Vibram) put on your shoes? My cobbler does impeccable work, true craftmanship, but charges $45 dollars a pair. I bit the bullet and dropped off two pairs today. The total for cleaning, soles, shine on my patent pair and cleaning and sealant-protecting my suede pairs was $131. Is this reasonable? TIA!

That seams really high. Equivalent work on 2 of my pairs was about $80.
