I'm so sorry this happened to you. I don't think you're overreacting. That looks pretty bad. The black nappa MBB is pretty delicate to start with and the cobbler must have placed it somewhere on side and put pressure on it. Perhaps talk to your cobbler and try to get a refund for the damage. On a lighter note, I hope you finish your puzzle :-)

:wtf:Definitely go back and show them. They are responsible and they should do something to compensate for the damage! I am so sorry. I feel your pain. I would be extremely upset too:cry:

OMG chloe you are not overreacting, those look awful!

please bring it back and demand a refund, explanation and whatever else! too bad they can't bring you back your pair of shoes or get you a new pair

You should ask them to fix the damage on both shoes, and if they can not, then a refund of what you paid, plus compensation for damaging your shoes.
In the alternative, if they don't compensate you, CL should, as they are the authorized rep for CL repairs, etc., and as such, their negligent work should be attributed to CL's recommendation.

Wow, you are definitely not overreacting. They do look bad. I hope you are able to get compensated for the damage and they are able to fix your shoes. Please keep us updated.

Who do you think I should speak to at CL...? Sorry ladies, thanks for your advice. I can barely think. I feel so paralyzed - there is no way I can get another pair, and I doubt they can be fixed! I bought these at CL Madison in January and they were Perfect.

Hi fellow Chicagoers,

Just wanted to recommend a good cobbler in the Loop for your sole protectors:

Brooks Shoe Service
55 East Washington Street #335
Chicago, IL 60602
http://brooksshoeservice.com
tel:(312) 704-6805

$30/pair and they do a great job. I saw several CLs on their front (intake) shelf when there, so they definitely have the experience. Takes about a week, and they email you when done. So far so good!

Sorry if this has been answered, but does anyone know good repair place in Canada? I need to fix the damage on the heels (stepped in between the bricks on the road...) and do the soles. I read great posts from people who have had the heels replaced or leathers re-done, etc. I would love to fix up my pair!

Thanks for help!
