Pasquales is really good, you will be happy with their work.

I just picked up my Decoltissimos and Lady Claudes from Pasquale's and they did a great job. For $30 per shoe they put on Topy rubber soles (not Vibram, but looks similar, and is very thin). The color of red doesn't match perfectly, but I'm still happy with the quality, price, and turnaround time!

Hello Everyone!!! I was wondering if anyone had the name of a good cobbler in the Baltimore, MD area?? I really want to have vibram's put on my CL's. Thanks so much!!!

I'm a poor little 24 year old college girl from Louisiana with a love for all things OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE...so needless to say...I just got my first pair of CL's for Xmas and my second for New Years:yahoo:. Some VP's and a pair of sexy glitter slingbacks. Being the newb that I am, I sent back my slingbacks to NM because one of the straps on one foot would slip off when I walk. I thought if these shoes cost this DANG much then they should fit perfect, right? Well, I haven't gotten them back in the size smaller to see if it works better, yet...but, I'm thinking since my foot fit on the sole perfectly (minus the strap being slightly too large) the new size will be smaller. Is this a normal occurrence with CLs- to have to shorten a slingback strap?

I haven't even been able to put them on my feet... they are soo gorgeous I just peer into the box and close it tight so nothing can happen to them! haha Puhh-thetic, yes? :shame: So, when I finally work up the courage to wear them I really don't want the grimey looking bottom that I've seen on several celebs with the red all scuffed out! I want to preserve my red. I've read some threads about Polyurethane coats to achieve this...is this a good idea? Also, I've been reading about the red vibram soles are these necessary when they are brand new? From my reading if I've got this right...the cobbler has to scuff it up a bit anyhow so wouldn't that ruin the red anyhow? So, is it best to just wear the red off and then put vibrams?
Basically, my goal is to preserve the red on my babies. Any help on how to proceed or if I'm just being plain ridiculous...would be GREATLY appreciated!

Oh and apologies if this isn't the right place to post all this information.

Ok, So I just read the WHOLE thread on preserving the red.. and apparently I'm not RIDICULOUS! haha so I just need the other stuff answered.. sorry for posting in the wrong thread with the red stuff!

Hi everyone!!

I am in the process of moving from Ohio to NYC this upcoming summer and am obviously, super far away from any of the highly reputable NYC/LA Shoe Repair Boutique's--does anyone know of any of the NYC/LA Shoe Repair Shops (or any other highly reputable repair shop) that does special mail-in orders for Louboutin's?? I have been holding off on wearing some of my Loubi's because I don't want to damage the red soles until after I have the vibram red sole's put on. TIA!!!!!!

Queen, I suggest Leather Spa in NY. I have used them 3 times now (2 pairs I had red rubber soles on and the 3rd was for stretching). I mailed all 3 of my pairs in to them and they are excellent! They do incredible work and I was very happy.

As far as the red soles, are you sure you don't want to wear them out first? When they put the rubber soles on, they sand down the red on the sole anyway. I usually wear mine out till the red is half gone then send them to be vibramed.

you should just enjoy them! the cobbler is going to have to sand the red off so that the vibram will adhere properly. :)
