I'd like to give a HUGE rave to santana creative. I just got back a pair of alta perlas I've never worn because the straps were too long. They fit like a dream and look amazing. I can finally wear them without thinking about my shoes falling off all night. You can't even tell they were altered.

I also had red soles put on two pairs and it looks great. I'll eventually be sending the rest of my pairs in :-)

Edit: all of this was done over the phone and by mail. Took just a week and they were super nice!

i love santana creative too! robert does such great work!

Glad to see this. I plan on sending two pairs (by mail) I have with broken heels and they are the closest to me.

Good call! Hopefully I'll be able to find spray while I'm there since the bottles are too big to bring on my carry-on.

I'm getting my hopes up so high but I should keep in mind that my size is hard to find and I might not find anything in Vegas I love...

I had my HEART SET on the Black Bianca but, as with you, my size was sold out. My heart was reset on the RB WS Bianca when she brought those out LOL

:wondering:wondering:wondering

There is a place in birmingham not far from the Somerset Collection that does vibramming and is recommended by Saks and Neimans. I've had mine done there and they did a great job for $25/pair, takes 2 days. I don't know the name of it because my friend always drops them off for me, but I'll try to find it

About Minuit Moins 7 in Paris, I went there and it took 5 days to put red soles on my shoes.

Do they speak english at the shop. My sister is going so I can get her to drop them off, and I can pick them up

You never know what surprise Vegas has for you. When I went to the boutique, I had no hope of getting the HP python batik in my size, but they did. They had the one and only 36. Good luck in Vegas. I hope they have what you love in your size:D.

for the pittsburgh ladies --

i took a pair that were pretty beat up to a cobbler in the north hills, alexander's shoe repair. he already had red vibrams (the thicker ones, though), and he did a decent job at repairing the nicks in the heels. he did not have the dye colors available for the shoes (to spruce them up), so i will be adding a fresh coat myself.

the vibrams came out nice, but he was a little sloppy with the sharpie. it's on the bottom so i don't really care, but i know some people might be bothered by that.

it was $30 to have him fix the nicks in the back of the heels and vibram the soles, so i don't know how much just having them vibramed is. i will be bringing another pair just to get rubber soles put on so i will report back how much those are.

located on perrysville ave (19 north) at cumberland road, near north allegheny middle school.

Honestly, I'd take the shoes with the "sloppy sharpie" back and ask them to re-do them. That's just not quality work and they shouldn't get away with that...not for heels of that price/caliber.

I picked up my shoes from Deno's in Dallas today. The Som's were stretched to capacity and they seem like they may be wearable now (:woohoo:) My Marpoils had the slingback shortened and they fit like a glove. The staff was friendly and for both jobs it only cost $28 . Definitely recommend for those in DFW area.

I've had Deno's add a textured red sole to the bottom of a pair of No Prives I have, but I didn't like the shade of red of the sole...it wasn't quite right.

The place that does have a better shade is "The Cobbler Shoe Repair" in the Preston Royal Shopping Center (Preston at Royal...thus the name)

He's done several of my CL's and they look amazing!
