Love this! Perfect with that tee by the way. Congrats!Bunnycat, your new additions are AMAZING! I’m especially loving the the colors in the last one. And the zebra is so cute! Adding it to my wishlist, stat!
I’ve also been bad. Like really bad. Like I-bought-five-scarves-in-as-many-weeks bad. It does make me a bit happier these days but I’m finding that it’s not enough. I’m ravenous for scarves and am not even savoring each one as it comes in, I’m just on to the next. I suspect that’s the grief. I’m forcing myself to slow down.
But I digress. One of my recent purchases was a moussie, Sulfures, which has been on my wishlist since I saw Lanit’s cobalt in this very thread maybe five years ago. I’m still searching for her cw but this’ll tide me over quite nicely.
It’s funny, when I first got it, it wasn’t love at first sight. I love green but it really has to be in the right shades for me to wear. The border on this is a sage green and there was more yellow than I was comfortable with in it. Plus, I think my current fuchsia hair doesn’t go as well with the colors in this scarf. But it won’t be fuchsia forever (maybe coral next!). The other thing that threw me off was the texture of the silk. I’m so used to the fine, soft wispiness of today’s mousseline than feeling the thickness of this one felt to me, well... a little like ... rayon. (Gasp!) I got over that feeling fast, though, when I realized how helpful the thicker fabric is when wearing it - the thing is springier than today’s moussie fabric, which makes it stay put a little better when wearing.
One more note: the seller was so very kind. If you are reading this, thank you so much again.

What?! You have the cobalt, too? May we see it pretty please?? What did you think of the thicker texture - love or not love?Love this! Perfect with that tee by the way. Congrats!
I was inspired by LaniT several years ago and bought a cobalt one. Like you, I was surprised by the texture when it arrived. Because of that, I do tend to wear it during cooler months.
Thank you, dear croisette! I agree, it looks more harmonious with those colors.Congratulation Joanna, it's a beauty , esp. with your lavender tee and the light green sweater.
So flattering on you, as a pretty headband too!View attachment 4480889 View attachment 4480890 View attachment 4480891 View attachment 4480892 View attachment 4480893
Speaking of green moussies, won this one on eBay, loved the metallic look of Les Clefs’s matte blanc work but it’s a challenge to show off.
Coincidentally, a bonus scarf ring from Jan Goode matched so I tried to channel @Living.la.vida.fifi, etc. Don’t think @papertiger will be asking for head-tying tips, but my flapper grannie (R.I.P.) might get a laugh.

Oh, I had my eye on this one, too! I love the little white accents on the keys but what I love most of all is how you tied it in your hair! That look is fabulous on you!!View attachment 4480889 View attachment 4480890 View attachment 4480891 View attachment 4480892 View attachment 4480893

This is gorgeous - such a great colorway, too! Many of those were too pale for me. Love this one. Enjoy!!!Found my second moussie in Barcelona, over the moon ❤️ I wore it already once to gala dinner and hoping to use it soon again. So happy I got over the idea of moussies being too delicate for me
I love you more for the Peter Murphy shirt.Next up. I know I swore already I had no desire for any more stoles. But this one only ever came in a stole in the chiffon format, and I have a fondness for just about anything Dmitri so I decided to give it a go. I figured even if I hated it, then someone else probably would like it fine as a stole. But- It's SUPER! WAAAYYYY thicker than traditional chiffon, this is more like a thick crepe and longer than regular stoles. I thought I might hate it, but I love it. It actually showed up on this thread years ago when it came out, and I though to myself "goodness...this person must be soooo tiny!" in the mod shot. But it is really that the stole is longer and wider than normal.
Meet Hola Flamenca! in mint condition. A winter useful crepe stole. (And please pardon the Bauhaus Peter Murphy shirt with the suggestively placed eyes...I've had it for a couple of decades....)

If I am honest, haven’t worn it much. I love the design motif- displays actual paperweights in the collection of “mr paperweight” - originally designed for the paperweight club. When I acquired it I did more research, but that info is on my laptop.Heh heh, thank you, dear cookie!!

Yep, I still go gaga over this cw! It looks fantastic on you and I never would’ve thought to pair it with burgundy. Thank you for sharing your pics!If I am honest, haven’t worn it much. Between the color, and the weight, I have not thought of it as a summer scarf, and have worn it in California mild weather months like November or April. Checking for archive pix, I always seem to wear it with my deep burgundy cardigan... here are a few pix.

That's so pretty, and I like the way you've tied it as a hairband, that's really pretty.
