Wow! Four times! That’s crazy! I do not own a stole perhaps I need to change that...I do miss the thicker fabric. I felt it made them indestructible. Congrats!!:flowers:

Thank you julide! Yes- the regular moussie stoles are a little shorter than this and a little narrower. This release seems to have been an oddball, but it actually a pretty great size and material for a stole.

Ok- I'm back for my final confession. This scarf has been on here before and is in fact what drove my low key search for it the past few years. Gave up thinking about it and then it appeared out of the blue one day when I was browsing. It's not a changeant, but it sure does make my heart go pitter patter. There are some Zoe Powels designs I really love (and some I really don't), and this one in this particular colorway was one I coveted as soon as I saw pics of it a few years ago which is surprising, as I wasn't interested in the scarf at all in other color ways....but that's H scarf magic at work. All it takes is one particular colorway to send you over the edge....Love the little Zebra on it and all the little symbologies. Plus turquoise with lime green and soft purple-periwinkle blue are

Meet Ors Bleus d'Afrique. I don't know the colorway name or number for this one so if anyone does, please do let me know!

I have a full house in moussies....there's only 1 or 2 others ever produced now that can call me (because I have all the others??? :cray:  )

ETA_ I found the colorway cw 10 bleu glacier/kaki/turquoise

Ok, ok...here I am...with several mousseline indiscretions under my belt in the last few months (and then I'll head over to the CSGM thread...oh lawks a mercy... I have been very very bad...) In my defence, I did end up rehoming a couple of mousselines, with a couple more to go now that I know I will now longer reach since I found one that I was searching for for a few years.

First up (yes...there are 3 incoming here...) is my seemingly ending quest for changeant mousselines....I'd been looking for a dramatic blue undertone for some time. I know I prefer the large 140 squares after several tries with the stole format.

Meet Mosaïque au 24 in Sable/Azur. It is FRUSTRATINGLY hard to photograph, but the blue is like electric blue fire racing across bronze/gold sands.

Wow! Congrats on all your moussies! Bunnycat where you are bad it is soooooo amazing! :PReally wonderful choices! Congrats on them all and wear in the best of health!:flowers:

Addding: what did you let go? Was it based on size? Colour? Design? Redundant? I’m interested in what your thoughts were on your recent moussie culling.:flowers:

Oh- yeah- I was so good for the first half of the year and then got the boomerang effect and went  . Totally blew it for the entire year....scarf shame for the foreseeable future....

I sold my etoles because I prefer the giant squares (except the MP that Mr Bcat got me that I would feel guilty selling and the fluffy red Toile H because I like the loft of it, plus of course my accidental new biggie size Flamenca stole even though it is red and I keep telling myself I don't need any more red or pink!) Then sold most of my PM moussies (kept 3), most of the pocket square size (kept 4 of the 12 or so I had) and sold a couple of the GM's that weren't a good fit for me color wise. A couple more need to go in the green category now since I have the green/turquoise I wanted and only want that one. Usually when I sell one (mousse or whatever) it's either size doesn't work on me like preferring the GM size to stole, design won't tie right on me (Jungle Love in every format I have tried :crybaby: and I LOVE JL!) , or color ends up not working on me after several tries or is too redundant.

In a couple of cases on some pocket squares the pattern just ending up not thrilling me. I had (briefly) Brin's d'Or in moussie and it looked dreadful on me and also Pierres d'Orient et Occident. I think small and traditional "busy" is often not a good fit for me. And even though Christine Henry is often "busy" (like Axis Mundi) there is a lot of variation in size in the elements of the moussies I have of hers (PduV and AM) and also lots of symbolism and that gels with my style more. I think that's what appeals to me so much with this pretty OBd'A from Zoe. I like all the tribal elements.

ETA- I just thought of one other factor. I have not kept any moussies that did not look good with black.... (!!!)

I should make myself do a new group moussie shot...

Next up. I know I swore already I had no desire for any more stoles. But this one only ever came in a stole in the chiffon format, and I have a fondness for just about anything Dmitri so I decided to give it a go. I figured even if I hated it, then someone else probably would like it fine as a stole. But- It's SUPER! WAAAYYYY thicker than traditional chiffon, this is more like a thick crepe and longer than regular stoles. I thought I might hate it, but I love it. It actually showed up on this thread years ago when it came out, and I though to myself "goodness...this person must be soooo tiny!" in the mod shot. But it is really that the stole is longer and wider than normal.

Meet Hola Flamenca! in mint condition. A winter useful crepe stole. (And please pardon the Bauhaus Peter Murphy shirt with the suggestively placed eyes... I've had it for a couple of decades....)

I have no other words!
I agree total about the 140s - they are so versatile - but I love the stoles too. I’m okay with the 90s, and the gavs - they’re great in the summer.

I’d love to see a group moussie shot!

Agree on the 140's- so versatile for me. The stole looks so good on others. You and scarf1 wear it so well but here in the deep south I kept finding it "not enough" if it was cold out or "way too much" if it was hot and I had to wrap it more than once to bring the tails under control.

Congrats on such an elegant piece, bunnycat!

Thank you Croisette!

Thank you HNN! This color combo is just magic!

Thank you again dear Croisette! They are indeed dreamy. Perfect for a mousseline!

Bunnycat, your new additions are AMAZING! I’m especially loving the the colors in the last one. And the zebra is so cute! Adding it to my wishlist, stat!

I’ve also been bad. Like really bad. Like I-bought-five-scarves-in-as-many-weeks bad. It does make me a bit happier these days but I’m finding that it’s not enough. I’m ravenous for scarves and am not even savoring each one as it comes in, I’m just on to the next. I suspect that’s the grief. I’m forcing myself to slow down.

But I digress. One of my recent purchases was a moussie, Sulfures, which has been on my wishlist since I saw Lanit’s cobalt in this very thread maybe five years ago. I’m still searching for her cw but this’ll tide me over quite nicely.

It’s funny, when I first got it, it wasn’t love at first sight. I love green but it really has to be in the right shades for me to wear. The border on this is a sage green and there was more yellow than I was comfortable with in it. Plus, I think my current fuchsia hair doesn’t go as well with the colors in this scarf. But it won’t be fuchsia forever (maybe coral next!). The other thing that threw me off was the texture of the silk. I’m so used to the fine, soft wispiness of today’s mousseline than feeling the thickness of this one felt to me, well... a little like ... rayon. (Gasp!) I got over that feeling fast, though, when I realized how helpful the thicker fabric is when wearing it - the thing is springier than today’s moussie fabric, which makes it stay put a little better when wearing.

One more note: the seller was so very kind. If you are reading this, thank you so much again.
