They haven´t had any for years as customers were not asking for them... so it has nothing to do with the production or lack thereof. I was really surprised as they are perfect for the weather up here!

But customers often ask to see what's already out. For years I had to ask for mousselines to be brought out. Judging from the preloved prices most mosselines sell quite well.

I have to agree, the mousselines are usually hidden. In fact, I really can’t recall ever seeing mousselines on display in the last, say, ten years. And even when H has been trying to promote the silk lines to the younger crowd, mousselines were not included. But that also has to do with all the new formats they have been promoting.

Yep, I still go gaga over this cw! It looks fantastic on you and I never would’ve thought to pair it with burgundy. Thank you for sharing your pics!
Thank you!

How magnificent , that’s such a rich blue, what a fabulous piece!

I love the matte blanc highlights and find the 90 cm mousselines the perfect size. Very very pretty.
Thank you!

It's beautiful on you, scarf!
Thank you!

I'll put the green on here for reference:

Personally, I think it will be very useful, especially since I can't get on with the smaller sizes of 'normal' mouselline. It took me a stupidly long time to choose between the cws (good thing there was only 2). I'd be happy if they did more of these in the future.
Love the green on and navy on you!

Ok- I'm back for my final confession. This scarf has been on here before and is in fact what drove my low key search for it the past few years. Gave up thinking about it and then it appeared out of the blue one day when I was browsing. It's not a changeant, but it sure does make my heart go pitter patter. There are some Zoe Powels designs I really love (and some I really don't), and this one in this particular colorway was one I coveted as soon as I saw pics of it a few years ago which is surprising, as I wasn't interested in the scarf at all in other color ways....but that's H scarf magic at work. All it takes is one particular colorway to send you over the edge....Love the little Zebra on it and all the little symbologies. Plus turquoise with lime green and soft purple-periwinkle blue are

Meet Ors Bleus d'Afrique. I don't know the colorway name or number for this one so if anyone does, please do let me know!

I have a full house in moussies....there's only 1 or 2 others ever produced now that can call me (because I have all the others??? :cray:  )

ETA_ I found the colorway cw 10 bleu glacier/kaki/turquoise
You have found some real beauties bunnycat!

Bunnycat, your new additions are AMAZING! I’m especially loving the the colors in the last one. And the zebra is so cute! Adding it to my wishlist, stat!

I’ve also been bad. Like really bad. Like I-bought-five-scarves-in-as-many-weeks bad. It does make me a bit happier these days but I’m finding that it’s not enough. I’m ravenous for scarves and am not even savoring each one as it comes in, I’m just on to the next. I suspect that’s the grief. I’m forcing myself to slow down.

But I digress. One of my recent purchases was a moussie, Sulfures, which has been on my wishlist since I saw Lanit’s cobalt in this very thread maybe five years ago. I’m still searching for her cw but this’ll tide me over quite nicely.

It’s funny, when I first got it, it wasn’t love at first sight. I love green but it really has to be in the right shades for me to wear. The border on this is a sage green and there was more yellow than I was comfortable with in it. Plus, I think my current fuchsia hair doesn’t go as well with the colors in this scarf. But it won’t be fuchsia forever (maybe coral next!). The other thing that threw me off was the texture of the silk. I’m so used to the fine, soft wispiness of today’s mousseline than feeling the thickness of this one felt to me, well... a little like ... rayon. (Gasp!) I got over that feeling fast, though, when I realized how helpful the thicker fabric is when wearing it - the thing is springier than today’s moussie fabric, which makes it stay put a little better when wearing.

One more note: the seller was so very kind. If you are reading this, thank you so much again.

Speaking of green moussies, won this one on eBay, loved the metallic look of Les Clefs’s matte blanc work but it’s a challenge to show off.

Coincidentally, a bonus scarf ring from Jan Goode matched so I tried to channel @Living.la.vida.fifi, etc. Don’t think @papertiger will be asking for head-tying tips, but my flapper grannie (R.I.P.) might get a laugh.

Looks great Jbizzybeetle!

If I am honest, haven’t worn it much. I love the design motif- displays actual paperweights in the collection of “mr paperweight” - originally designed for the paperweight club. When I acquired it I did more research, but that info is on my laptop.
Between the color, and the weight, I have not thought of it as a summer scarf, and have worn it in California mild weather months like November or April. Checking for archive pix, I always seem to wear it with my deep burgundy cardigan... here are a few pix.

This is lovely scarf1, I love the blues in this one!

Bova, yay you have found a pearl! Congratulations and do post some more shots of yourself in this stole.
It’s a piece I’ll never let go, the colour is spectacular isn’t it ; for a non pink wearer self I’m surprised how easy I find this to wear. The Polo theme makes it less girly and those splashes of turquoise and green ...:love:

It’s a perfect fit , so happy you found it :yahoo:
I agree, it really is a great pink froufrou... I'll try to post some more modeling shots as I continue to wear it. I have you and arabesque to thank for wanting to find this for so long, and am so happy that I finally found one. Thank you!

ExLibris Madras Bandana arrived yesterday! So happy to be a club member!
I would like to have the green also, but I think they all are gone by now. At least there are none left at Hermes.com. I believe I got the last!

As far as availability of moussies. I bought my first one in 2015. Some stores like Waikiki, FSH and even Palo Alto had a few on display. But some stores had none on display, but had a few in the drawer. My best sources for buying in a store were Madison and Waikiki. However, in May when I asked at Madison Ave, they only had current season moussies.
I did manage to find an older moussie at Bergdorf Goodman last September. I heard they were planning to stop carrying H scarves. Anyone know if they have quit?
As far as reseller prices, I think in recent years maybe they were less popular, so I managed to pick up several at below retail prices. Recently however, I have seen resellers asking over retail, sometimes well over retail which has curtailed my buying habit.

You have so many tops to go with this! That green sweater in particular is a perfect match and brings out the color of your (our!) lippie perfectly!! Looks great on you - I love Sulfures!
