Thanks for the explanation. Now I have to try to take some pictures of my moussies! What do you use for the close up of the weave?
Jewelers loupe (10x magnification) but a strong magnifying glass might work also.

Ok...a few quick pics....
I've had this scarf before in a bandana but sold it because the colors didn't look right on me, so it wasn't really on my radar again. But well, it's mousseline, and I've been looking for a pink scarf for awhile so thought I'd take a look at this since it had a return policy and Mr Bcat offered to get it for the "present stash". Blown away by its pinkness upon arrival, I grudgingly put it back in the box to await some special gift giving occasion. So happy that it was a short wait!
My NTM Peuple du Vent GM mousseline in fuchsia, rose vif and violet. It's a little pinker IRL than the pics show. The incandescent overhead is pulling out the more reddish tones.

Ohmigosh - how marvelously interesting. Seriously. Thank you - I had NO idea how H did that.If you want a strong changeant effect, the colors that are placed in the weaving need to have higher contrast (like pink and blue or green and purple). But because the base of the scarf strarts with some woven color, I think that is why a lot of the changeants don't often have a lot of contrast and are more tonal, because any silk screening done over the top of the base color is going to be affected by that color underneath and so looses some contrast.
It is a lovely mousseline and the pink is perfect for you. Happy Birthday and I have been anticipating your unboxing. All the best wishes!Ok...a few quick pics....

So this just happened! I have been longing for this mousseline stole (my first) since seeing it here on both @froufrou and @arabesques . It is just gorgeous, I love it. Many thanks to the wonderful Jan of Its All Goode (our own @sdsurfchick).Polo de Bagatelle by Le Clerc! View attachment 4461820
Thank you bunnycat...I was actually concerned that the pink would look too pastel-y on me, and although it is light, it has a purple undertone which seems to take it out of the pastel realm if that makes sense! I am very pleased though, already got two compliments today out running errandsIt's glorious on you Bova! Congrats! That pinkish lavender is a favorite color of mine!
