I saw the fuchsia Peuple du Vent today. It looked exactly like on h.com! And the best part is that it was not as thin as the Chasse en Inde mousse stole. I suspected that it was not a changeant as it's a bit stiffer and the details showed through nicely! The purple shade is lovely as well!

YES! it does! (how did this happen? One? This is not like you...............)

Well, I have one shawl and one stole, so that is two, isn't it?:p
These just seem to be rare butterflies, difficult to capture.
I'll have to call my SA about the Guepards, and I have the BH mousse on my list.
The treasure hunt is never-ending!;)

Well, I do only have one mousse, and it is lonely...
I believe it needs a friend!:p
My dear, you just can't stop with ONE mousse! You really need another one, maybe more! :graucho: My mousses are my go-to when it rains, and they perfectly work !

:hbeat: Oh, hopiko, this is beautiful!! I don't wear animal prints, ever, but this cw is so striking I'm so tempted to try and hunt it down myself!
BritAbroad, my dear, I too don't wear animal prints either, but this one ! Gah, I could break the rule

I agree, Monceau, mousses are hard to capture, I don't know why! When I'm so llucky I see one I love I just grab it in a heartbeat!

I have been tempted by this one as well, D Lee. This is quite monochromatic, which is not a bad thing. I can't recall seeing a red mousse with much contrast, so your SA may be correct.
Perhaps others will chime in on this.

Are you happy with the way it looks on you? That is the most important thing.
Thx Monceau! The monochromatic nature of the moussie doesn't sing to me at all. I purchased the moussie because I thought ALL rouge H moussies didn't show the pattern well. But i believe I have been misled now. So it will go back.

DLee, I tried on the fuschia version and am mulling it over because I have two other pink mousse lines and am trying to justify if I really need a third variation of pink. I agree with Monceau. Sometimes a monochromatic silk is lovely and often times more versatile than a busy patterned silk. If it does not sing to you when you try it on with your wardrobe then let it go back to store. I agree with your comment that the pattern is not as visible. Many of the dip dyes have the same effect and have deterred me from purchasing. The red is a very pretty red though, and would be lovely for Chinese New Year, holiday and valentines day.

Thx lanit! The fact that u, a fellow great lover of scarves, also refrained from getting scarves with not-too-visible patterns, helped me in making up my mind to return this for sth more visible. I have always taken great joy in admiring your scarves & your advice really carries much weight with me.

D Lee, I LOVE YOUR SPIRIT! 11 moussie's in that period of time is OLYPIAN in nature. GREAT WORK, you are a woman who does NOT mess around. You are dauntless and wonderful! Thank you for the inspiration..............this is meant sincerely!
Thx bjostone! I love moussies more than my 90s. They are more suitable for the sub-tropical climate I live in. But then I am travelling to ban island after my 12th moussie too. Must know when to stop.
It depends on what contrasting color screens are used- I have a RO and a Folies du Ciel GM mous that have red as the background and both very colorful. I also have a red Musique des Spheres that is more like the PduV you bought- not many contrasting colors with a muted monochromatic effect.

For some reason, Hermes has not done a lot of colorful mous lately- it is either monochromatic or changeant. And they have not done a lot of red in general so if you want/need a red, this is a lovely one to have. Never know when or if another red cw will come along.
Thx toujours! I really love the red color of my moussie. It is gorgeous. But since u mentioned that it is possible to have colorful moussies with a red background, I would prefer to have one of those. I don't have a burning desire to procure a red moussie immediately. So I'll just bide my time. Thx for your advice!

and geupards in cw11, gris/chartreuse/gris

This looks AMAZING on you, hopiko!!! I have seen 3 Geupards moussies now (yours and 2 waiting under my Christmas tree - I will post pics/cw reference after I open them but one is predominantly fuchsia and one is the loveliest taupe/marron glade) and they are all changeants and absolutely amazing. This is the best moussie season ever for cat lovers!

Hi D Lee, it sounds like you are going to return your red moussie but I just wanted to add that the only truly monochromatic moussie I own is the red/rose indien cw of the Axis Mundi. The pattern is barely discernible from afar which at first troubled me, but there is a really mysterious, sexy quality to it and it doesn't hurt that it is a changeant to a glorious hot pink! So I would vote yes to keeping yours bc it is nice to have the option of a monochromatic mysterious mousse, but if you are not feeling it then of course you should return it since you will always find something else that makes your heart sing! Good luck my moussie friend!

Thx kittyHawk, you have been most kind! I am now oscillating between keeping and returning my rouge moussie. On the plus side, I love the rouge colour & since the remaining 11 moussies I own are SO visible that they could be discerned from a mile away, it doesn't hurt to have sth different. But on the other hand, I am paying so much for an H pattern that I think it would be silly if people thought it patternless until they are a few feet away. Oh! Sleepless nights ahead. Never thought owning an H moussie could give me insomnia!

DLee - want to model it and we will give you our honest opinion?

Here are the promised pics of the BH Ltd Edition silk twill scarf and the moussie CW 2 (which I refer to as the "greenish" one. I hoped that by posting the silk, it may give a reference re: color, but not so.
Did the best I could. Used my hand drying laundry rack, and took pics outside in an attempt to show the color. Sorry girls...............

So the mousse fares well in the rain?
So good to know, as I have always made sure there is only sun in the forecast before wearing.
I just assumed that they were delicate, although they certainly seem durable in other ways...
