DLee - want to model it and we will give you our honest opinion?

Thx for your suggestion, MYH! Would everybody pls look at my mod pics of the Peuple du Vent moussie, one taken under adequate lighting & the other not & give me an honest assessment? I really feel unhappy having to decide keeping or returning it. I became restless after viewing hopiko's beautiful cw11.

My policy before is to buy both when decision couldn't be made. But now that I have >50 scarves, this bad habit has got to stop. TIA!

D lee - I think this red looks amazing on you. I vote for keep! And I think the pattern does show up but doesn't compete with the pretty red background.

Only you can make this decision, D Lee, but I would vote to keep!

For starters, this shade of red is gorgeous and looks great with your coloring!
Personally, I like the subtlety of the pattern in this cw and find it quite elegant.
If all of your other Mousselines have a stronger contrast, it might be nice to have a more monochromatic piece like this in your collection. The design is apparent, but not primary, so you could probably wear this with patterned or striped tops as well.

However, if it does not sing to you, or if you will not reach for it, then it's best to let it go and find something you will enjoy. I love this one on you, but you must be the one happy with it!

Hopiko, these are just GORGEOUS!

Let me ask you, on the Guepards (sp?) do you find the grey washes out? Love the color combo, so, so, CHIC, sophisticated, elegant.............love the olivey/chartreusy green which will pop blue, green, (hazel, etc) eyes, any ideas? YOU (as always) look GREAT!

I do not want to say it, but I think...................that I also need it. But since it is early in the season, I am going to attempt to act rationally, and restrain 'til I see what else is out there (and I have not yet concluded my FW 2013) but this is so beautiful................hopefully the CW will not look good on me, hopefully it will look awful.............................

Hi Bonnie! The Guepards is amazing. I saw it in the bag, but after a few glasses of champagne, tried it on and was blown away. It just glows, the pictures do not do it justice. And….this is FW 2013, so very late in the season not early!!!! Just saying:p

hopiko, both are SO beautiful! Especially, this Guépards is breathtaking! Not my usual cws, not my fav design, but gosh, I think I need this one !!!

Exactly, me too…if not for the flowing champagne, I may never have tried it…but I did, and…..loved it…gorgeous!

Wow, Hopko, these are spectacular! PdV is a work of art in this cw.
That Guepards!!! How fabulous! It is perfection with your Orage B and stunning in your mod shots.
I love the colors in the Guepards, such a sophisticated mousse!

Thank you Monseau! I think you need another!!!

This colorway is so pretty, Hopiko! Is it a cheangeant? If it is, can you tell us what color is the sheen?

Hi Chestnutty, oddly, I don't think that either of these moussies are changeants. The PdV may be to "pearl" but I don't see it. I just love the turquoise, purple, green and gray in this shawl, it doesn't hurt that i love this particular pattern, either;)!

:hbeat: Oh, hopiko, this is beautiful!! I don't wear animal prints, ever, but this cw is so striking I'm so tempted to try and hunt it down myself!

Thanks, Brit!! I had no interest in this mousse until I tried it on, then I couldn't leave it behind.

D, I think that this looks wonderful on you. It is such a great pattern and so beautiful in the red tones. I think it is a very nice compliment to you wonderful collection.

I saw the fuchsia Peuple du Vent today. It looked exactly like on h.com! And the best part is that it was not as thin as the Chasse en Inde mousse stole. I suspected that it was not a changeant as it's a bit stiffer and the details showed through nicely! The purple shade is lovely as well!

Did you get it? I think it is an amazing mousse! I think the colors are so pretty. I certainly would have gotten it if I hadn't gotten 2 others!:smile1:

Monceau, MYH, Hopico:
Thx very much for your advice. I am still undecided & I decided to wait until the sun comes out & see how it looks in broad daylight. But Monceau does have a point: this may be the only scarf I could wear with a patterned top!

And hopico:

Your Guepards is SO gorgeous that I called my SA to reserve the grey one for me as soon as it comes in. And your Peuple du Vent looks stunning! I wouldn't otherwise have become restless & thoughts of return would never have reached my mind! Love your mod pix.

Thx Monceau! The monochromatic nature of the moussie doesn't sing to me at all. I purchased the moussie because I thought ALL rouge H moussies didn't show the pattern well. But i believe I have been misled now. So it will go back.

Thx lanit! The fact that u, a fellow great lover of scarves, also refrained from getting scarves with not-too-visible patterns, helped me in making up my mind to return this for sth more visible. I have always taken great joy in admiring your scarves & your advice really carries much weight with me.

Thx bjostone! I love moussies more than my 90s. They are more suitable for the sub-tropical climate I live in. But then I am travelling to ban island after my 12th moussie too. Must know when to stop.

Thx toujours! I really love the red color of my moussie. It is gorgeous. But since u mentioned that it is possible to have colorful moussies with a red background, I would prefer to have one of those. I don't have a burning desire to procure a red moussie immediately. So I'll just bide my time. Thx for your advice!

D Lee, I have missed you my cat-loving friend. I too am in need of a red moussie and thought this would be the one. But I DO love the Africa mousse as well. Have you seen that one? My dear, your collection is getting to significant to buy something that does not scream like a siren for you! Walk away if you don't hear anything. There is always the next season and it's nice to slow down a bit...maybe....:hugs:

Dear D Lee, I think this is gorgeous, so subtle and elegant! Magical how the various colorways can evoke such different moods. If this one makes your heart sing, then maybe there is room in your closet for this subtle one, and perhaps a more vibrant red mousse in the future?

Here are the promised pics of the BH Ltd Edition silk twill scarf and the moussie CW 2 (which I refer to as the "greenish" one. I hoped that by posting the silk, it may give a reference re: color, but not so.
Did the best I could. Used my hand drying laundry rack, and took pics outside in an attempt to show the color. Sorry girls...............

Many thanks for posting, and so artfully photographed! This mousse is so pretty, with a mysterious, subtle quality. :smile1: Mousse colors are notoriously difficult to capture! How do you feel the actual colors differ from your photos?

Hi guys!
I have a problem here. Can u advise me?

Since the purchase of my first mousse in Mar/Apr, I have accumulated 11 moussies. So I figured that I would gladly go to ban island after the 12th one. I'd basically got all the colors I wanted. But I lacked a rouge one. So when Peuple du Vent came out in a rouge cw, I ran to H at Olympic speed to grab it. But now I am rather hesitant if I should keep it. U see, this is the shade of red I have been looking for, but somehow the pattern doesn't show well. Just compare the reference pictures provided by Chestnutty. My SA said somehow patterns on red moussies do not show as well as on other colored moussies. Is this true? Or should I wait for another red moussie to appear? TIA!:smile1:

Hope I am not too late chiming in here, DLee- I think this GM is just beautiful, but I agree that the pattern doesn't show up well. I usually like my mousselines to have a more visible pattern, but there is something nice about having a more quiet pattern. One appreciates the colors, perhaps a bit more even, and at least for me, sometimes I probably should tone down the colors!! Mousselines are getting more and more difficult to find - at least at my boutique - so I'd be tempted to get this one and you can complete your "set" of 12. Then if you later spot one that makes your heart sing, you can grab it as a supplement!!

Ok Ladies, totally agree with the above comments on the monochromatic nature of many of the PdV moussies. I was fortunate enough to get a look at quite a few of them at my boutique's holiday party and one came home with me. Not all are monochromatic and the colors in this cw are divine…at least in my opinion. I do not think the colors do it justice at all. And Lanit, my sister bought the fuchsia, it is sooooooo beautiful with the purple bits….you should consider it!

I was also blown away by this cw of guepards…it is not colors I would ordinarily be drawn to but they work, the grey and chartreuse with navy accents…I think it is perfect with my Orage B. So, without further ado….

PdV in cw 11, gris perle/violet/vert

WOW, Hopiko, these are both drop dead gorgeous. And they look wonderful on you - I haven't seen a PdV that shows off the pattern quite so well as this.
