Hey girls, especially Chestnutty, Maedi, and D. Lee THANK YOU for all the help with the Cheaveaux. I have a thing for this shawl, and do not want to miss it. The link was especially helpful (love those Mai Tai pics) as was the info re: German web site and it being available in Jersey silk. I was not sure if it was available in cash/silk.............dhuh....any news re: any other colors? Well having you on top of it is sure a relief. Thanks again, best, Bonnie
Hi Bonnie,
U sure have an eye for beautiful things. The Karnac mousseline I inspected had a run in it but the customer standing beside me snapped it up as soon as I made known my intention that I did not want it. She was THAT desperate to grab the Karnac moussie! Likewise, I am also determined to get it & have been calling my SA regularly to make sure she is on the lookout for me. I will post here as soon as I have information on the Karnac.

Wow, hopiko, the changeant and colors on this mousse are amazing - it will look spectacular on you!!

Ok, so I was just browsing in the small local boutique and a lady comes in to exchange something she had received as a gift the day before. Although it was lovely, she explained that she never wore this style. As I peeked over at the box as she showed the SA, I said......oooohhhhhh, I must see this! So, after she left the store, I asked the SA to show me the mystery moussie! Suffice it to say that it was even prettier than I had thought and it came home with me!

What is amazing about this one is that it is a changeant, but because it is so colorful, the color change is different depending on the primary color...I have tried to get photos to capture this phenomenon!

Presenting my new GM moussie:

Coup de Fouet in cw 04: Sable Azur, canard, kaki! (With flash)

Hello fellow moussie's, hope this is accurate, but I was told that the Chevaeux de Karnac mousseline will be available on line today. best, bonnie
.

I got a call from my SA & really thought 'my' Karnac has arrived, only to be told it would arrive probably in autumn. But still, I went to the boutique & picked up the new long-awaited Afrique & quadrige moussies. Sth was very wrong with my cellphone camera & I have decided to photograph the quadrige stole when I have dug up my camera. So only the lousy Afrique pictures for now! :smile1:

Congratulations on both, can't wait to see you Q

This is fast becoming one of my favourite threads. I must ask for mousses on my next visit to H

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful..................what CW? I didn't even know that Afrique was coming in a moussie(This spending so much time in hibernation is not a good thing). May I ask what CW your Quadrige is? I have had limited success with Quadridge I but will take some pics of what I have received: 08 Bleu Gris/Ardois(which I think has been posted) and 02 Sable Azur/Kaki (one of these will be returned too similar I think). Also, what CW did you order in the Cheveaux? All I know is there is a pink one, and a blue one..................oh well, thanks for the info and the pictures.....best, bonnie

Thx papertiger! I bought my first moussie in March & I now have accumulated half a dozen:p. Before my first acquisition, I turned my nose up at moussies & thought they were a waste of money. Now I couldn't say enough good things about them! At the moment, the temp is around 31degrees Celsius & it is simply impractical to wrap a silk scarf around the neck. I have put away my scarves together with my winter clothes. So it will be mousseline season until Dec! Love them!

Thx bonnie! I also didn't know Afrique would come out in mousseline until I read Chestnutty's post. Then I requested my SA to keep an eye out for me. This one is 342428 cw1 fuchsia turquoise/vert/framboi. It is a beautiful moussie but my stupid cellphone flooded the mod shot with flashlight. So I wouldn't use it to shoot pictures any more. Local boutiques wouldn't bother to order scarves or leather items for customers. Why bother when the goods sell themselves! The quadrige THEY ordered is 401601cw7 poudre irise/jaune/gris. I will post pictures as soon as I have dug up my camera. I have seen your 08 Bleu gris/Ardoise & another yellow quadrige. I might have seen a green cw as well. Of the 4 cws, I like this peachy one the most.

The Karnac I almost bought at the end of April had at least 2 shades, a red shade & a green one. I don't know the cw since I haven't got the bill. It was love at first sight & I have since been patiently waiting. I pray I could get it by Xmas!:p

I just popped in to the store today. It was too busy for me to talk to my SA but I did get to try on the Chasse Inde etole and the Karnak GM mousselines. The Karnak I tried has rouge, pink, and a wonderful dark ardoise (steel blue but darker) border. It is very classic, very well done and GORGEOUS.

The Chasse Inde did have a very very subtle changeant quality. I can say it definitely had changeant.

Both mousellines are VERY thin compared to the mousseline GM Le Monde est Vaste I bought in 2009 (?) and the Eperon D'Or etole that I bought in 2010 (?). In any event, I am S T R U G G L I N G with this because the material seems so thin. I just love mousselines and have been obsessing about getting these but I need some way to figure out how to get comfortable with the thin-factor.

Oh, while I was looking, a lady came in, asked if she could look at the beige/brown etole that was waiting for me to try on. I said okay, go ahead look at it and of course she just bought it without a thought.

Oh, I would like to see some more colorways before I buy but both were just fabulously lovely and there is a piece of me that KNOWS I won't regret, it.

I would appreciate any input and/or enabling!

If I go on Monday to buy, I will post pics.

Thanks

This is splendid, D Lee! The 90 cws did not work for me, but I love the design so I hope to find just the right mousse! Your pix have tempted so many of us...:graucho:
