I am sorry, technically challenged. But I think it is okay now.
For me, it was difficult taking pictures of moussie's. Had them on bed, and tried with curtains both drawn and not drawn. These pictures do not do these moussie's justice.

Here are some notes:
1) Chasse En Inde - 01 purple. I think a particularly pretty stole

2) Coup de Fouet - this picture is deceptive. If you are a "spring" or have green in your eyes, the chartreuse should make those eyes pop. I think the shawl photographed, "dull" but it is not - it looks better on, than in a picture - I guess you would say it "ties well".

3) Pink Flots - this is the stole which is advertised on the Hermes site. The truest picture is the one with the tag. It is bright

4) Blue Flots - I was not going to get the blue - had the pink Glad I did it is a very pretty scarf. Much brighter and livlier than picture.

5) Chasse Lipstick corail prune (06) - pictures do not do this scarf justice. Truest picture is the picture with the tag

6) Quadrige - 06 this has been posted before, my pic is relatively useless

7) Quadrige - 02 Azur/Kaki/Petrol the kaki seems to show my eyes (greenish) Again, relatively useless pic.

8) Chasse 5 The Blue Jean Mauve this is a beauty which pictures do not do justice
It has a lavendar, grey, beigey, peachey tone with that beautiful pink border - IMO it is a sophisticated stole, but yet so sweet with that pink border.

9) Soie Polo - very pretty Blue Lac Vert 05. Very pretty combo o greens and blues,
a very happy stole.

Sorry my pictures were so limited, and this is not really organized. I have limitations re: technology and for me it is a challenge to capture the magic of moussie's . Hope this was a little helpful, and not a frustration, best, Bonnie

Bonnie - Thank you so much for the pictures! They are all gorgeous, I can't even pick my favorite! I am very very glad that you found the Polo stole from a store instead of having to buy for premium from ebay resellers. Wonderful choices and welcome to the slippery slope of mousseline! :hugs:

wow, what a nice collection! So have u decided which to keep? I believe the purple/blue Chasse en Inde is very pretty. I have the blue gris version & wear it regularly. The CdF cw is stunning as well. I would have purchased it if I did not have two cws already! All in all, u've got a great selection here! Enjoy!

you peeps are very generous. Am unsure what I will do......have a couple of days left to return......................very difficult tracking down these critters...................and yes, I am totally hooked ..............they make my "favorites" the GM's seem "winter-ey".................HUH?.......did I say that..........

Will be in Boston with my 2 kids for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup and will hopefully hit the H store. If I see anything noteworthy I will advise. Happy Father's Day!

My fellow moussies, I am so happy to announce that I am twins with D Lee on cw 01 of the Ors Bleus D'Afrique 140 cm mousse!! It takes my breath away and the changeant is AMAZING! This cw is very "fun" with the pops of chartreuse and neons, but the primary fuchsia and turquoise colors I will happily wear all year-round.

Here are some pictures which of course do not truly capture the magic of the changeant (fuchsia to turquoise). I find the border color very unusual - I am not sure what color it is but it matches Crevette IRL, definitely a peachy orange.

I am so glad the Ors mousse has finally arrived in the US -- eagerly awaiting sightings of other cws from other TPFers!!

Many thanks for posting your photos, and for your detailed descriptions, so nice of you! Mousselines are notoriously hard to capture in photos, and you've done so well.

I was very tempted by CW02 (Sable Azur/Kaki/Petrole) of the Quadrige stole, when I saw it at my boutique recently. I pictured it being a beautiful colorway for fall, being a bit more somber. I love the pattern, and hope one of the colorways will work for me.

Thank you again, and best wishes choosing favorites from all you've received! :smile1:

I just popped in to the store today. It was too busy for me to talk to my SA but I did get to try on the Chasse Inde etole and the Karnak GM mousselines. The Karnak I tried has rouge, pink, and a wonderful dark ardoise (steel blue but darker) border. It is very classic, very well done and GORGEOUS.

The Chasse Inde did have a very very subtle changeant quality. I can say it definitely had changeant.

Both mousellines are VERY thin compared to the mousseline GM Le Monde est Vaste I bought in 2009 (?) and the Eperon D'Or etole that I bought in 2010 (?). In any event, I am S T R U G G L I N G with this because the material seems so thin. I just love mousselines and have been obsessing about getting these but I need some way to figure out how to get comfortable with the thin-factor.

Oh, while I was looking, a lady came in, asked if she could look at the beige/brown etole that was waiting for me to try on. I said okay, go ahead look at it and of course she just bought it without a thought.

Oh, I would like to see some more colorways before I buy but both were just fabulously lovely and there is a piece of me that KNOWS I won't regret, it.

I would appreciate any input and/or enabling!

If I go on Monday to buy, I will post pics.

Thanks

Many thanks for posting your impressions. So very sorry to hear the SS mousselines are seeming thinner to you! It seems the trend (first with the cashmere/silks, and then with the dip dyes).

Best wishes finding one to love, and I look forward to your photos! Apparently my boutique may not be getting many mousselines this season (having opted to carry the Indigo line of scarves instead). Love and appreciate seeing everyones photos, to give me ideas!

Bonnie, thanks for sharing your beautiful mousselines. I am favoring the blue Chasse stole as well.

Hi Kittyhawk,
Congratulations! I am so happy to be twins with u on Afrique. Actually I requested my SA to keep an eye for me if the blue Afrique arrives. But she probably forgot & would call me if ANY moussie arrived. This is such a striking scarf that when I saw it on the rack, I indicated my desire to buy it BEFORE knowing it was Afrique.

U did such a good job u photographing the moussie. Mine is flooded by flashlight. I am sure u will get lots of compliments wearing it!

I think that both D Lee and Kitty Hawk did great work with there photo's .....................moussie's are tough! I love that CW.....................I just hafta track one down.................great work!

Oh dear! Throw Afrique into the lot & u would have a huge headache deciding what to get. :woot: Our boutiques are wonderful. No charge sends. No orders. SAs probably wouldn't bother to entertain your request unless u are a regular! So I will never face your problem of deciding what to get when your impulse tells u to get EVERY one of them! But I would advise u to get the classics first ie Quadrige & Chasse en Inde. I personally love CdF(3 90s & 2 moussies)& Afrique(3 90s & 1 moussie).

If u are like me,living in the sub-tropics, it would be advisable to get more moussies than silk. I find it gross to put my sweat-soaked silks back into the box without washing them. I really do not enjoy handwashing my silks. Well, do let us know what moussies u have picked in the end.
