Maybe it's already well-known but I am new to Mousselines and feel one coming into my life soon.... need to know.... what's the difference btwn and GM Mousseline and a Mousseline Stole? I apologize in advance if this is obvious but I have not spent much time in this thread as the last thing I need is another H obsession.....

I started my mousseline obsession after Luvbolide assured me that they are not as delicate as they look in March. 3 months later, I now have half a dozen moussies & indeed they are not as delicate as they look. I think the only difference between the two is in size. The GM moussie is 140 x 140cm whereas the stole is 63 x 180 cm.

But I observed a strange phenomenon. After @ wearing, I hang my moussie to air for 24 hrs before returnig it to the box. The 140 becomes crease-free whereas the stole is still creased. Maybe longtime moussie wearers would care to comment.

I-F, I love forward to the day u show us your moussies. I now love moussies more than silks since in our sub-tropical weather, moussies are way more comfortable than silks.

I have a couple of stoles that tend to stay pretty crisp, and they are not changeants. i am thinking maybe the changeants are thinner and softer, and thus more wrinky?? :thinkin: I have a changeant mousse stole that seems kind of limp and soft and not nearly as crisp in texture.... ETA: are your stoles changeants?

I k eep meaning to focus on mousseline stoles but keep getting the 140s!

Thx Euridice for your input! My one & only one stole is a changeant! I am a moussie newbie & I have been upset with my moussie stole. I either have to iron it after a 24-hr airing for immediate wear or I let it stay in the box for a few days, after which time the creases will disappear. I thought sth was wrong with my stole since ALL my 140s are crease-free after ONLY a 24-hr airing!

For me, it is the reverse. I love the stole shape but have to get GMs due to a lack of choice!

Ok, so I was just browsing in the small local boutique and a lady comes in to exchange something she had received as a gift the day before. Although it was lovely, she explained that she never wore this style. As I peeked over at the box as she showed the SA, I said......oooohhhhhh, I must see this! So, after she left the store, I asked the SA to show me the mystery moussie! Suffice it to say that it was even prettier than I had thought and it came home with me!

What is amazing about this one is that it is a changeant, but because it is so colorful, the color change is different depending on the primary color...I have tried to get photos to capture this phenomenon!

Presenting my new GM moussie:

Coup de Fouet in cw 04: Sable Azur, canard, kaki! (With flash)

Congratulations hopiko! I have tried this SO MANY times in the boutique! It is such a lovely moussie! I try to stick to my one scarf/design rule. But with Coup de Fouet, I have 3 90s & 2 140 moussies. I tried to get your lovely mousse but even the SA told me to get other designs!

Too funny!, you must be strong! This is my first CdF so am very happy! I know what you mean about pattern duplication, I have the same problem with the CS GMs....I find it hard to stop at 2 in some patterns but that is my limit:)

How interesting, DLee - I only have one mousseline stole and to be completely honest, I haven't even worn it yet...sigh. I do wear mousseline GMs quite frequently and, like you, never have a problem with wrinkles after I let them air a bit.

I am DYING to see a Galop Chromatique mousseline stole - at least I understand such a creature is supposed to be coming at some point - but no sign of one yet at my boutique...
